The exit for Joe's Tower is now button operated. I was debating whether it would be more confusing to have the "turn left" button on the right sometimes, or to have the "Blue/Green" buttons on different sides on different exits.
I'm leaning towards making the buttons left/right standard instead of blue/green standard. After all, I've color coded those two buttons. Let me know your opinions! Reversing the polarity (!!!) is trivial in the design I just built, so it's easily reversible when it's just one station. When I've done them all, it's likely to stay whatever way I've done it. [edit: I've put in the left-is-left setup, and with the strips of colored wool, it's almost literally drawing you a picture IMO. Nevertheless, I encourage you to check it out and give feedback.]

Spawn point station upgraded. That's the last one I do before the weekend. If you see me on Minecraft before Saturday evening, kill me!
Since the newly-dubbed Sea and Sky Road (Trail?) is so much better and is now a desirable track to travel despite the existence of the Kojiiriin City expressway, I'm also planning to turn the spawn point switch into a button that automatically resets once the traveler leaves the station. The lever was fine when it was just there for legacy purposes, but if we're going to be actually using it much, I don't want the next guy to have to turn it back to the freeway.
Unless ... if it's SO popular that people are just as likely to want to use the S&S without having to press the button all the time, a switch might not be so bad. I'll think about it while I'm away from the game. Opinions welcome!

Oh, I doubt anyone actually cares, but it turns out the new design uses 15 or 16 redstone torches (depending on if something needed inverting), something like 80 redstone wire, and one redstone repeater. The old station needed 2 to 4 torches (depending) and probably more like 35 redstone.
Honestly, I'm surprised it's even that close, but I guess the distance between the switches and the track does add up. The challenge in the new design is, of course, figuring out how to cram in the circuitry without using TOO much space. I tried to limit myself to only going as low as the station already is, and only using the space under the exit itself and the immediately adjoining exit track. I've only had to fudge a little, e.g. by sneaking under the highway track a couple of blocks.

I should have thought of that. I planted grass because it was pretty but I forgot about the "side effects". Sorry.
It's your base, so I leave it up to you, but if it were me, without looking at it yet, I think I'd rather have dirt and no glass vs. glass and grass. I'll have a look at it when I come back, though.

Shown in the video, 1.5 is now to include rain, snow, lightning, and thunder, as well as achievements and gameplay statistics. Notch says that he plans on still revamping the weather-related features before releasing it - says they appear too often so far. But, expect lots of new content in the next Minecraft update!
