Funny the Xbox 360 is near the PS3 YTD total for 2010. What an interesting turnaround this last quarter has been.

Also the Wii has now had another lowest ever week being marginally lower than its previous weeks lowest week ever.

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 are monsters inside the Wiis bed.

You mean the Wii's blue ocean?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

It will be interesting to see how Wii stacks up to the other consoles this holiday season, since they will have the first hardware movers in about 10 months.

Huge drop for Halo Reach. Pokémon doing good.  1

Wii will be down even more till 11 October now that we know something will be announced.

November shall turn the tables though, with the same old boring DS 1st, Wii 2nd and PS3 3rd on the table...   2

1. its normal... its 300k ahead of where Halo 3 was.

2. no chance.

ohhhh, ohhhhhh. Here it comes a bet!!!!!!

What do you say? =)

You want to bet me that during November it isnt Wii>PS3>360

I'll take that bet.

The bet is that during November I say the the global total sales are not Wii>PS3>360, you say they will be Wii>PS3>360

Any price cuts kill the bet.

Taken. We will wait for NPD data for November

Also, my take is that Wii will come out on first place so it can either be Wii>PS3>360 or Wii>360>PS3.

Winner gets avatar control. No naked bitches or shit written in the avatar =P

No we wont. This is global sales as per VGC.

Usually in the holiday season vgchartz tracking slips a bit, but I'll take that with the condition that if NPD data looks different, the other gains the avatar control =)

Cool to see PS3 and 360 ahead of Wii.

is there any comparison table for halo 3 and halo reach weekly sales?

I don't get why everyone loves to see Wii fail. Wii was beginning to bring gaming to the masses and make gaming seem "cool" and not nerdy. With the HD consoles on top, the nerd image will only be reinforced :(

Next couple of weeks should get even more interesting, Once GT5 launches, it will definitely mute the effect Kinect has on the weekly gaps between the 360 and PS3.

Holiday sales will be very close between all 3.

No , it won't but i'll let the sales' numbers speak for themeselves...

52 posts, wow you are quite the expert.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

30 seconds to make one... just 2 weeks.

# HALO 3 HALO: REACH Diff
1 3,815,444 4,049,971 234,527 (6%)
2 782,396 817,905 35,509 (4%)

Just feeling... but I guess that Halo 3 LT > Halo: Reach LT at the end of this generation.

Really shows that Nintendo is playing a different game than Sony and Microsoft. I mean, it only makes sense for Wii to be behind given that the last significant thing Nintendo did to try to push consoles (Other M isn't in on this because Metroid's never really been a killer app, at least not since NES days) was... shoot. I don't even know. Galaxy 2 maybe?

Nintendo needs to do more to keep momentum up, but i really think we're seeing that console sales are entirely in the hands of the manufacturers (and out of 3rd party influence). It's peripherals, first-party games, and potential price cuts that are making things interesting.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Good sales all in all, I like that Demon's Souls got a slight boost, amazing game!
