Really shows that Nintendo is playing a different game than Sony and Microsoft. I mean, it only makes sense for Wii to be behind given that the last significant thing Nintendo did to try to push consoles (Other M isn't in on this because Metroid's never really been a killer app, at least not since NES days) was... shoot. I don't even know. Galaxy 2 maybe?
Nintendo needs to do more to keep momentum up, but i really think we're seeing that console sales are entirely in the hands of the manufacturers (and out of 3rd party influence). It's peripherals, first-party games, and potential price cuts that are making things interesting.
