Forums - Sony - Do you guys think Sony has learned their mistake?

I think they will take this into consideration. They have lost a lot of fanbase because of their ego. I never really liked the original xbox, but I love the 360. Microsoft is still money hungry, but I own 5 times the amount of games for my 360 than for my PS3. I also think that they need to admit that their controller needs some work. It's tiny!

Their controller is fine.  Much better than 360's in my opinion.  It's all preference.  And having a larger, more like 360 controller wouldn't have boosted their sales any.

i don't think its up to SCEA to decide, its SCEJ's move, so if its sells in japan its good for them.

It doesn't make sense SCEj decides everything especially since NA and Europe have a much larger market.

because its a japanese company.

PS4 will have more games at launch

Be the Only 3D console (unless Microsoft gives in to Blu Ray or that Nintendo have something up there sleeves)

Play TV built in

PSN will be much larger and better

Be the Media Hub of the future: Game console Blu ray player DVR Recorder media Storage

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Well... I hope so.

With PS4 I don't expect it to be a huge leap like we saw from PS2 to PS3.

It will have numerous upgrades, yes. Although I doubt it will cost $800 to make one. Nowhere near that.

I think it will launch at either $350 or $400. Possibly making a profit on launch or within a year of launch.

And this time, Sony will have games for the damn machine early! And it will have full PSone, PS2 and PS3 backwards compatibility. With the current PSone lineup of games being on PSN and PS2 games also being available on PSN.

I don't know if they have learned their lesson look at the PSP Go, if the Go were 150$ (like it should) I bet it would be selling a lot better.

Well in my opinion another mistake was the PS3 release 1 year after the XBox 360, next gen they have to fix this too.

The PSP Go wasn't really there to set the market alight.

It was a tester... To see if the market was ready for a DD only videogames device. They were making a huge profit off of each sold, and every game downloaded too.

While it seems that PSP Go flopped sales-wise, it was more than likely a huge success for Sony... Profit's-wise.

I have loved Gaming since age 5 back in 1987 and I love my PSX, PS2, and PS3 and all more other consoles but I think the Game Overthinker has some grate points in this video not all of them I agree with though but it is very informative tack on the current gen situation.

But couldn't they have tested the market with a more affordable price, something like "will people buy a download only PSP for 150$-180$?". Besides the size and portability Sony didn't really gave a reason to buy the PSP Go but actually gave many reasons to not buy it (price, poor support, incompatibility).
