The PSP Go wasn't really there to set the market alight.

It was a tester... To see if the market was ready for a DD only videogames device. They were making a huge profit off of each sold, and every game downloaded too.

While it seems that PSP Go flopped sales-wise, it was more than likely a huge success for Sony... Profit's-wise.


But couldn't they have tested the market with a more affordable price, something like "will people buy a download only PSP for 150$-180$?". Besides the size and portability Sony didn't really gave a reason to buy the PSP Go but actually gave many reasons to not buy it (price, poor support, incompatibility).

i agree. people would have bought an ipod touch any day over the psp go.
