remember dead rising? I don't miss that engine. My point is really that the way they work is to use as little resource as possible or just don't do it at all. If MT Lite was avaliable when they were making RE5, maybe a Wii version would have been out already. They wouldn't make it for MT, then port everything to that GC engine again, they are not crazy.

I don't think the problem with Dead Rising on Wii was the engine. The RE4 engine would have been usable for tonnes of games, and they wouldn't have to be ports of HD games. Capcom only decided that everything had to be multiplat from the get-go this gen, they were fine with making exclusives last gen.

I think the difficulty would be scale and the size of environments with that engine, can't make something do what it was not meant to do, it's old. I also doubt they'd want to go through that RE4 dev hell again.

Konami, Square-Enix, and Capcom all have excellent lineups, but they all pale in comparison to the first party lineup, of course.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I know it hasn't been officialy announced, but didn't level5 say they were working on a 'time travelling' game for 3DS?  I remember something along those lines

The announced a new adventure game called "Time Travelers" for an undisclosed platform.  It's being developed at their brand new Tokyo studio, by the guy who directed 428 for Chunsoft (a Wii Visual novel that got a 40/40 in Famitsu, was also later ported to PSP/PS3).

Level-5 also announced Inazuma Eleven 4 was in development for an undisclosed platform.  My bet is we'll see both games confirmed for 3DS at the upcoming Level-5 Vision event.

yeah, that's it.

on topic: Capcom easily

you mean like the a, b, x, y, l, and r buttons that make the total count of 6 buttons? which is uh, tripl kick/punch 3 plus 3=6 buttons?

Not even remotely close. The game has a button that is all three kicks, and a button that is all 3 punches. That is it uses 8 separate buttons on the home consoles. The 2 extra buttons are key to pulling off thing like the super combo (or whatever its name is that I might be forgetting) without putting your hand, or button configuration into the strangest, and generally worst position. I really don't know how well the game can play without them.

It's just a shortcut, and if you put the hard punch and kick on the shoulder buttons, it's not that hard to hit 3P or 3K.

What is this "Sonic the Hedgehog" game? Did you mean to write Sonic 4, or is there another Sonic game announcd that I don't know of yet?

The button that hits all 3 attacks at once is a shortcut? I'd have never guessed!

Less sarcastically there is no good way to organize them to hit all three easily. My stupidly long thumb would get a funny angle on top of smashing all three being a very awkward, and rare combination of button. It can work, but it is far, far from ideal.

Updated.  Level-5's making a play for Capcom's crown!

The company which is one of the best DS developers will also be one of the best on 3DS: Level-5.

They don't just bring ports or remakes to handhelds like most other companies, they actually develop handheld games.

Good to see that Fantasy Life still exists (now coming to 3DS instead of DS).
