In UK the various stores have updated their sales lists. Which if you look at them makes it really interesting. This is only UK though.

On amazon Sports Champions is now 33 in the charts http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/bestsellers/videogames/ref=pd_ts_pg_2?ie=UTF8&pg=2  Now the interesting bit, the highest placed PS3 console was 32nd. In front of it was Kinect at 22.

Play have Sports Champions 17th in their chart  http://www.play.com/Games/Games/6-/TopSellers.html and Move Starter pack at 18th. The highest place PS3 console is 30th (almost the same as amazon).

Hmv have Sports Champions at 19th http://hmv.com/hmvweb/directQuery.do?ctx=-1;6;-1;-1;-1&seeall=true&N=1459&adultFlag=false and the highest placed PS3 console at 42nd.

So by looking at those charts it shows that the PS3 consoles have actually fallen in most cases out of the top 30 and Sports Champions is nearer to 20th then to 10th this week.

Which then asks the question how did the PS3 get it's boost in the other countries? Maybe F1 2010 really was the reason? If so then that is pretty amazing.

All those games are cheaper in the shops.

Best ps3 deal is also at supermarkets.

it seems some people can handle the fact that the move caused the PS3 bump....(I think one person said dead rising played a part in the PS3 boost....O_o)

I understand that multiplats do/can play apart in the rise of hardware, but I don't see how any multiplat played more of a part in moving hardware than an exclusive peripheral: with it's own games and PS3bundles

Just wait another month you will see far bigger damage control from the skeptics when GT5 drops.

I think a lot of people missed the big picture on the second week after Halo Reach Sony OUTSOLD 360 in total software for the week. That is huge.

with halo:reach Sony still has a big advantage in software sales (Microsoft Studios Vs. SCEI Studios)

SCEI

God Of War 3 = 3M

Heavy Rain = 1.5M

MAG = 1M

MLB10 = .5M

ModNation = .5M

6.500.000 Total

MS

Halo:Reach = 4M (So far)

Crackdown 2 = .5M

Alan Wake = .7M

5.300.000 Total

and with 2 big titles coming out (Fable 3 & Gran Turismo 5)

You forgot White Knight Chronicles for Sony - .28 (without Japan)

Sports Champion as well.

yeah i know, but i'm only counting those with more than .5M to make things more easy to track. =D

I'm Back! - Proud owner of the best doomed handheld of all time!

Game/console sales on UK have always been different from the rest of Europe (and the World). A game/console that sells well in the UK can be failure in Europe or otherwise.

360 sells a lot better on UK but PS3 is better when Europe is the focus... so sales ranking from online stores in UK means nothing.

Exemple... Sports Champions down 12% on UK but up 15% on Europe... understand now.

UK is a unique market for games and not represent the rest of Europe (or world).

I'm happy for Sony with the PS3 catching up, but at the same time glad the 360 is still doing so well.

It's just that simple.
