360 sales still seem a bit low to me...

idunno, I just would have expected them to have broken 10 million by now...

 Last time i checked the 360 was becoming low on stock everywhere i looked. For example at amazon they usually have around a 1000 360s, and now they are out of stock, or have 50. So it seems that microsofts plan, to reduce shipments from 15 million to 12 million is working . Now supposing that they already shipped that amount (its a safe assumption based on the 10.4 figure at december), this would indicate there is aroung 2 million 360s on the shelfes worldwide, and i dont think thats the case (looking at stock around)

I wouldn't be surprised that France was one of the too high countries.

I didn't want to say anything, because I didn't have the hard facts, but it seemed to me that XB360 was not selling well at all in France. I bet it's the same in Germany.

Actually, I think the rate of XB360 sales in Europe is not 2.5 x UK like for the PS2, but less.

yeah i know they said by june, but i dont believe they only shipped 600k in january, february and march combined.

what i think, is they shipped 12 million  by the end of february, and after that they stopped making the "old" system at all. the new elite is coming, and i belive new systems for premium and core versions are coming as well (redesigned motherboard for the elite means HDMI across the board)   - OR price drop in the works. who knows. but something IS in the works, and i think thats why they stopped shipping 360s, they want the stocks to be empty when the new ones arrive.

 but OK, thats what i think, lets assume they will ship 12 million by the end of june. even then, they are at 11, and thats still 1.5 million in stock WW. look at amazon, they are short on 360s.

They could have shipped 100million. But that dont mean their all sold to user.

Well its good to see the page doesnt fear to recognize some appreciation mistakes .And I would say even the new numbers are too high .X360 is selling poorly in France ,Germany ,Spain ,Portugal ,Italy ...their only strong market is UK here .

keep in mind M$ also counts every system replaced as a new sale ;)

 M$ greatly overstocked stores to meet their shipping quota but luckily the site tracked down some info and corrected this estimate.
