ROFL, we celebrate

Pancake Day, Easter, Valentines Day, Halloween, Guy Fawks day (one you were on about) and Christmas .. don't think I've missed anything out there ..

*happy* :D

...and also one question, do you guy's have like an independence day or some other kind of national birthday or something?

St Georges day, which we do nothing for, don't even have the day off work/school.

Pancake Day??? Oh my, you guys celebrate pancakes? Do you eat pancakes all day long? Is there some sort of pancake expo? Pancake eating contests?

Well it's shrove tuesday, shamefully I don't know the true meanig (pretty sure it iant pancakes) but it's known as pancake day, and the majority have pancakes that day, and pancakes in england are a bit like crepes ..

They're the same over here. Personally I prefer the American pancakes (so fluffy!).

Are you saying you don't have thanksgiving in the UK?

*dumbness chills down my spine*

of course not, we dont celebrate the genocide of native Americans, we have better things to do.

you caused my stealth edit to fail! :(

So do you guy's have Halloween?

yes

It's barely even Autumn! But it's never too early for holiday spirit. And I suppose by December, we'll have to be celebrating Easter!

I'm partial towards Mince Pies. Absolutely delicious. Sweet, crispy pastry filled with crushed raisins and dusted with sugar. How can you get any better than that?

Though I am quite a fan of Yule Log and Gingerbread. I don't really like Christmas Pudding, it has an odd flavour and texture. I don't even know what Stollen is.

EDIT: Ah, dry fruitcake. I don't like it much, but I prefer it to Christmas pudding.

It started off a few centuries ago as a way to clear everything out of the kitchen before Lent, to remove all temptation. But now it's just an excuse to eat pancakes. *omnomnomnomnomnomnom*
