Well it's shrove tuesday, shamefully I don't know the true meanig (pretty sure it iant pancakes) but it's known as pancake day, and the majority have pancakes that day, and pancakes in england are a bit like crepes ..

They're the same over here. Personally I prefer the American pancakes (so fluffy!).
