I think it's more reasonable to compare 2010 PS3 sales to 2009 360 sales. It's selling roughly as well, and both consoles were experiencing similar circumstances. PS3 Slim versus non-Slim 360 last year, Big Racer on 360 last year, big shooter on PS3 last year. It's just vice versa this year, substitute GT for Forza and Halo for Uncharted.

Only difference is 360 2010 doesn't seem to mimic any past PS3 or 360 sales, and with Kinect around the corner who knows how well it will do. Probably somewhere between 360's 2008 and PS3's 2009 peak fall sales.

hmmm PS3 is doing decent YOY I guess.....though I would have expected it to be much higher compared to its own 2008 numbers. Still I can be happy with those numbers.

So its been a year since the Wii price drop too now. So its YOY is misleading, but compared to 2008 it looks awful

Nintendo's financials will likely be the most revealing since since they usually include charts derived from Gfk and NPD numbers IIRC. I think they're coming on the 28th. I know Microsoft is on the 21st. Is Sony on the 28th too?

Think MS is 22nd actually, not sure about Sony.

SONY always does it like 2 weeks later than the others for some reason.

I hope MS sale figures get boosted up after their financial. If the 360 Slim only brought the 360 to be on par with its lead in 2006, then PS3 will most likely surpass the 360 in total sales. I'm just soo annoyed at the stupid decisions Sony has made with the PS3 and it's games this generation (delaying GT5, Super expensive PS3, madatory BlueRay when the tech isn't developed, 3D gaming with glasses, etc), I would be very sad if that happened...
