anyhow.. on topic, I am going to predict once more... and my prediction may be insane to many of you, but it's something that I suspect may happen, so what the heck.. I'll predict it..

I expect the PLAYSTATION 3 to outsell the NINTENDO WII for 7 out of the 14 weeks left in 2010

The reason for this is because the nintendo wii has fallen to its lowest numbers EVER

dropping under 140k for the week, and I don't see why it wont drop further now that the move is out, and there really isn't much compelling software to keep its hardware sales up, sure it's probable that the move wont really affect the wii's sales for now, but it surely wont help them..

The move software should see legs, as the move continues to sell hardware wise (currently out of stock and accepting pre orders on amazon) software sales should gradually rise.. I suspect the move can sell up to 2-3 million units by the end of the year.. and no I'm not counting it the way VGC is which is one PS EYE= 4 ps move sales..which i find ridicoulous to be honest, considering there are probbaly over a million PS EYE's out there right now.. so really you can't calculate anything considering this gen has followed no history, so saying accessorie history is a valid way of estimating move week 1 sales, really is just as good as a guessmate....

move should help PS3 sales this holiday season, and I expect the PS3 to outsell the nintendo wii this holiday season based on my  first prediction thread earlier this year , now based on current trends, PS3 hardware may actually go up again since the move hasn't been out for an entire week yet.. so PS3 hardware sales could go upwards of 150K when the numbers come in, but I expect it to stay around the same sales it had last week, which was around 143K.

When move launches in japan, the ps3 should have a stronger hold over there over the wii,  and with GT5 coming out, the wii should have issues keeping up in japan.. other than that.. that's all I have to say for now... I'll give some numbers... though

for the rest of september I expect..

PS3: 140--150K 9/24

WII: 130-140K 9/24

PS3: 130K-140K 10/1

WII: 125-135K 10/1

we'll see if I'm right.. this is the first time I give sales off for individual weeks, I'll give more numbers if the hardware sales fall under my predicted range..

but if the ps3 outsells the wii in those two weeks that's already 2/7 and closer to making my prediction come true..

So what do you guys think? Am I crazy or what?

This doesn't seem absurd.  Actually quite possible.  It will come down to how weak the Wii proves to be rather than how strong the PS3 gets imo.  Basically, this is the Wii's battle to win or lose.  Maybe it'll show that late year resilience that people assume will happen every year.  I just think that every year that passes, the Wii will become slightly less desirable as a gift.  So this race may be illuminating.

Next week Wii will sell more than this week. But not as great as xbox360 and ps3 above wii.

About the holidays, well, Wii Party is now a million seller in Japan, and everyone knows how difficult is at this generation made a million seller in Japan. Maybe Wii Party is even bigger than Wii Sports Resorts or maybe a flop like Wii Music.

Kirby and DKC will boost some Wii's, but not as much as the combo price cut/New Super Mario Bros Wii last year. =/

'Cuz Halo Reach and Move release?

I don't think we'll see another great boost for xbox360, maybe ps3 will rise again. The past week Wii competed vs Halo Reach and Move first weeks.

Next Week:

Xbox360 200k

PS3 145k

Wii 140k

lol no, Wii wasn't affected by Move or Halo: Reach, it's sales would have been the same this week regardless, and judging by how fast it's falling it's not going to rise next week.

Wait. Isn't Move the "new" WiiHD? the reason for gamers to purchase a Ps3 instead a Wii. At least, is what move suppose to be according to everyone.

Isn't normal for consoles to sell less when they have sell a lot at previous year? Isn't normal for a console that have the record for the fastest selling console ever? Isn't normal for a console without a redesign? Isn´t normal for a console that only have the first party support?

This is the 5 holiday for Wii. What are you waiting? To see Wii breaking another record? And for Wii numbers next week, we just can wait to see... =/
