Forums - Nintendo - *Wii Lineup/Library is amazing Not Much Left 4 Me!*

As a platformer fan... woo boy... Wii has been the console this generation for platformers, and I've eaten it all up. Mario, Sonic, Wario, a Boy (and his Blob), Klonoa, Donkey Kong, Kirby, 2D, 3D... it doesn't matter. It's really one of the reasons of why I love this generation so much, it really is the retun of the Platformer and it puts a smile on my face.

As for my second favorite genre: the action-adventure genre, Wii has also delivered in spades. Of course there's the classics such as Zelda and Metroid, but the third partys have delivered as well. They get ragged on all the time, but they've also delivered awesome games such as the No More Heroes series, Muramasa, Okami, Silent Hill, and Monster Hunter Tri.

Of course, there's those crazy games that I never knew I'd love... like the Wii Sports games, Little King's Story, some crazy light gun shooters, adventure games based on diving expeditions, and other random games that just put a smile on my face. It's just been a fantastically fun experience during these past four years. Yeesh... it's been four years already? *hugs launch Wii*

But yeah... looking forward to Pikmin 3 myself. Can't wait. ^_~

Yes, I agree with you. The Wii has the best library of any console since the SNES, imo. That is, it has the most games that appeal to me. It also has a lot of shit, more than the HD consoles, but it also does have more games than the HD consoles that appeal to me.

Of course DCKR would have done it for me all by itself. :D

The only other game I really "need" is Zelda. Then I'm ready for the next gen.

I would say the Wii has the best exclusive line up of all current gen consoles after the DS.  It's lacking in a few genres, but they generally don't appeal to me (FPS, WRPG, etc).

Pikmin 3 and Vitality Sensor are going to happen, I'm as sure as I can  be about that.  Due to someone at Nintendo stating that they originally wanted Luigi's Mansion to utilitise 3d, I'm guessing if there is a sequel it will be on the 3DS.

I also want a new 2d Metroid and a new original starfox game with at least 8 player multiplayer deathmatches

That could be cool.  I only had the chance to play the original StarFox on the SNES and bringing out one for the Wii would be awesome.  Oh, the multiplayer deathmatches sound pretty awesome as well.

Still missing: Wave Race Wii

Co-op is great, and I'm loving it that Nintendo is pushing co-op and multiplayer this quarter.

I was really disappointed by Wii library since mid 2009, now the situation is much better, even thought it really took too long, to have this great lineup. About this holiday I'm interested in:

-DKCR: I like very much DKC on snes and I like very much Retro, so I guess that I will like very much this one, my only concern is difficulty, I hope thay haven't made it too easy.

-Wii Party: I've already played the jap version and I alrady know that it's must buy, expectially if the rumors about the wiimote bundle are true.

-Goldeneye007: I've been waiting for long time a new good FPS to play on local multiplayer, maybe the wait is over.

I still have to decide about Kirby Epic Yarn and NBA Jam they both look interesting but I've never played a Kirby game and also I've never played the original NBA Jam, so I'll wait too see some reviews.

About 2010 so far is amazing, I've played some TatsunokoVSCapcom form a friend and it is very good, I have also tried Red Steel 2 and Sin&Punishment 2 and those are both good, Moster Hunter Tri is a great game, Mario Galaxy 2 is amazing (even thought it doesn't deserve all 10s imo), I'm playing Other M in this days and I like it very much, (even thought the story sucks).

2011 also looks already interesting with Zelda and The Last Story. Also I guess at that time my gaming time will by sucked in by the 3DS.

I'd like some good racing games on the Wii, like F-Zero or even Wave Race. Also, a proper action adventure like Resident Evil would be nice.

Something like F-Zero and or Wave race would complete the Wii library for me, there are already enough games released that I haven't yet bought (but want obviously)

Well, barring Zelda anyway.

Oh, something like TimeSplitters would be awesome too, but I am past any hope of that happening... seriously, why are all FPS in the past few years so serious (insert Joker meme). I blame Halo and CoD.
