People keep talking of the rapid Wii decline this year as if their surprised.. Honestly people, just look at the Wii's releases this year, and it should become very clear as to why the Wii has declined this year (which it's not even that far behind from 2009). I expected this kind of decline (if not worse) when I learned that Wii's biggest titles of the first 3 quarters of the year would be Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M.

If DKC fails to lift Wii sales significantly, then I will begin the doomsday talk.

I think they also mention it because it's at a cheaper price and has had more added to the bundle.

I just noticed that in the top 6 games there is one from each of the 5 current systems.  How often has something like that happend?

Fantastic sales for 360, PS3 gets a boost thanks to move! Wii ... lowest ever weekly sales, wonder if it'll drop below 130k next week?

if it does it will be almost 100k doiwn year on year... thats a very alarming drop.

You mean 600k, and I would not call it alarming.

he means it would be down 100k just for the one week if it gets below 130K next week.

In Week Ending 26th Sep 2009 Wii sold 148,626 units, it would have to sell in Week Ending 27th Sep 2010
under 50,000 units to be down 100k YOY.

Will the Wii get lower than that in the next weeks?

Above: still the best game of the year.

Probably meant the following week:

Week Ending Oct 3rd 2009 Wii sold 330K. Likely Week Ending Oct 2nd 2010 Wii will sell around 130K.  October could be very ugly YoY for Wii.  Last year the Wii averaged 370 per week.  This year it will be lucky to hit avg of 200K per week.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

EA Europe's VP, Jens Uwe Intat thinks the PlayStation 3 can still make a 'come back' and catch up Microsoft's Xbox 360 sales.

Speaking in an interview with MCV, Intat said there's a very real possibility of Sony catching up with Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the UK. Sony's popularity in the continent could play an important role in this, Intat said.

"We could certainly see Sony come back - in the UK it's still a head-to-head competition between PlayStation and Xbox, but on the continent Sony is traditionally stronger than Microsoft," the EA VP added.

The exec also took a moment to reflect on the benefit the competition between the Xbox 360 and PS3 has for EA as a publisher:

"But we're very happy to watch the competition, because as long as they're competing to get more consumers in, there are more people we can sell games to.

"It's interesting to see that both companies embarking on a slightly different path when it comes to controlling games. Kinect and Move are both very interesting ideas."

EA has stirred controversy with its latest FPS Medal of Honor, in which the Taliban are playable characters. EA recently responded to the controversial content.

Well, ps3 head to head with 360, too much diferent from vgchartz, imagine the rest of europe....words of EA Boss

I always said.....vhcartz ultra undertracked sony consoles....

it´s the prove

Why on earth did Microsoft release Halo Reach the same time as Pokemon in Japan?
