Forums - Sales - America's up!

Wii struggling, lack of compelling software will ensure it continues to drop until the usual holiday boost.

Reach has a great start and  360  gets an impressive boost.

Minor boost for PS3 with Move launch but should be a steady seller, software will be key.

Some members need to relax and just enjoy the games on your console/s of choice. :P

Yeah I guess I am slightly dissapointed in Reach sales. MW2 did 5 million in It's first week (on the 360) and it was a multiplatform title. I think this pretty much confirms that Call of Duty (specifcially Modern Warfare) is a bigger title which is crazy considering not too long ago Halo 3 was doing better then the first Modern Warfare (11 million, the first MW is at 8.43 million) but thats how things roll.

I think the *REAL* question is how will Black Ops do? MS/Bungie claims Halo Reach will outperform Black Ops, but even on the 360 I think Black Ops has a solid chance at outselling Reach just with November and December.

Either way if you own a 360 your a winner when it comes to shooters: You get Halo Reach and Gears of War 3 in March, which are only on the 360 as well as the maps slightly earlier on the 360 for Black Ops.

Problem is MW2 (and MW) were released middle November when Holiday Christmas Shopping has already started so more shoppers out there just picking up gifts.  It is safe to say that very few copies of Halo Reach that have sold will ever be gift wrapped.  Last year I picked up 2 copies of MW2 as gifts that werent opened until December 25th.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

360 going heavy

ds will overrule

Think for yourself, question authority

good job halo reach. I was part of those sales. lol

Seriously no one pointed out KH BBS sales? They are awesome!

PS3 is looking to be ahead of wii WW this week, nice

Amazing numbers for Reach imho....some just had way too high expectations of it...these numbers are nothing short of amazing

Good start for Move...the sales = quality of the launch titles which is a good sign and message to developers.

I see reach got adjusted up 50k in America. Not that it needed any help but I guess it had to break 4 million.

4M sales week 1 for Halo, not too shabby.  So much for all the haters saying the series has been in decline since Halo 3...

They were also saying Halo wouldn't move any 360's, but looks like this chart proves them wrong.

it moved about 120k im not sure, people predicted  the 360 would be in the 350k 450 k mark when reach comes.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

with all the giant predictions about reach having a record breaking week, and about it giving the 360 250k to 350k boost i really expected more.

If it sold 500k you would still say you were expecting more.

Wow...those numbers dropped by Halo Reach are looking oh so pretty...4 million out of the gate...but we will have to see how it holds in the sophmore session to determine anything...plus a COd is on the way...so...time will tell.  But regardless, that 4 million units is so so pretty!
