Forums - Gaming - My gripe with capcom

Well, Capcom said they wanted to make DeadRising their most important franchise... In order to achieve that, they must first destroy all other franchises that are more important than DeadRising and it seems that they're going to reach that goal soon.

Just kidding :P But seriously, I don't know what they're thinking lately xD. Last gen my favourite companies were Capcom, Konami and Square-Enix (in no particular order)... and this gen Platinum Games is taking Capcom's spot... and it's Capcom's own fault :P

That reminds me of the joke of the guy who wished to be the smartest man in the world. He didn't get any smarter, everyone else became stupider. =P

i was one of the ones looking forward to dead rising 2. but seeing what they did with the sequal, i can safely say that capcom want more money then activision. the story isnt bad, although it seems like it had no effort, they didnt fix some problems from the original. and the only good thing they added is co-op. but they removed the 7 day mode.

the multiplayer is shit, i saw a video of it on youtube, its 4 mini games which arent worth playing and which have lots of control issues.

the game has 3 modes!!! capcom could have easily added a survival mode(4player co-op) they could have added diffrent kinds of zombies, they could have changed the ending(its the same one as the original), i feel like they were forced to make co-op.

at the top of my head i can think of many great modes they could have added:

- a survival mode

-a zombie mode(your a zombie and you have to infect people)

-zombievshuman mode (some players are fast zombies, and the humans have to protect a certain place)

they could have also added diffrent enviorments in the game.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

I used to love Capcom.... *sigh* ;(

I'm not sure about the DMC changes either, but apart from that Capcom is the best Japanese developer this gen.

So many great games released and so much great games comming up.

Never heard of that joke before :P but yeah, it sounds simillar to what you're telling me :P

@zgamer5

Lol, so you're saying they screwed up that one too? xD I've never played a DeadRising game but still... that sucks for the fans :P

I wonder why Capcom doesn't just try to go back to its roots or something instead of changing what already was good...

EDIT: LOL, I should reply faster instead of playing with the dog because by the time I finally clicked on reply a lot of other posts appeared.

@soriku

I hope you're right. My younger brother likes Monster Hunter games and he wouldn't like it if they "killed" that one too!

A banner stolen from some site xD

Release Final Fantasy Versus XIII nowwwwwwwwww!!! lol :P

Dead Rising 2 isn't screwed up. It seems to improve on the original in every way.

My gripe with Capcom stems from Street Fighter 4.  First, I buy the game for $60.  Then I HAVE to (it's not like a have a choice in the matter.  I love costumes.) buy all of the alternate costume for probably $30.  Then, they release the same game again with a few new characters for $40.  Then, I HAVE to buy the new costumes or look lame over Xbox Live.  $30 more dollars down the drain.  Then, they create even more new costumes--this time, they don't suck--that I'm going to have to buy.  And now they introduce more new characters?

Before it's done, I will have spent $300,225 on what is basically the same Street Fighter 4.

I thought the DMC character was the lady you posted, transformed into the game. Literally. I didn't understand what you were complaining about until I read further and found out it was actaully supposed to be a guy. >.>

I had the exact same thought.

you guys didn't get that right away? Wait you guys don't know who Hilary swank is?

I agree on that... seriously... RE5 is nowhere near as good as RE4 is, Megaman... just doesn't belong there, and... Dante was... raped. Figuratively and literally.

SFIV kicks ass, though!
