Now I'm sad :'(.  All this talk about how good the PS Move is and me with not enough money to buy it, at the moment.  I'm going to cry now.

Nah, it's actually pretty fun.  My kids and wife love it, as well.  There are just enough varying mini-games to keep you interested.  My fave is the art one, where you paint shapes onscreen and then the game combines them at the end to make an animal or object.

I would never have gotten sports champions if EB wasn't out of RE5 bundles, but I played it and loved it and I'm glad I bought the bundle

I am guessing you need to calibrate when changing game types, not while progressing within a constant game type (Ex: Archery). When you have to calibrate however, it takes only as long as you make it take.

It takes me ~6-7 second to to do it. Simply press the Move button, line up controller with shoulder and press Move button, point straight down and press Move button, put controller at belt button position and press Move button. Same thing every single time and it happens only at the beginning of each play session. Should take most people ~5-10 seconds to pass it. Not as big a deal as made out to be.

I saw on some youtube clip that the calibration can take as little as you need to move your arms to the required positions and press the button. No need to wait for the onscreen animation to prompt for the next phase of the calibration. I can't find the clip but it was that guy with strong Italian accent that pointed it out.

Nice report!

What baffles me a bit is that you're so bad at table tennis. Didn't you start with bronze mode? I know the game is incredibly more realistic (and therefor harder) than Wii Sports Resort table tennis, but in bronze mode I thought it was still very easy. I beat every opponent in the bronze championship on my first try, but as soon as I entered silver mode the situation changed completely. I think it easily took me a dozen matches before I even won against the first opponent in silver mode, so I wonder if maybe you simply picked the wrong mode to start with?

I personally think volleyball is rather boring, but I just love bocce and I wonder why nobody else is writing about it. At first I though bocce would be quite boring and expected there would be absolutely no variety (I never played bocce in real life, but I expect that it always uses a standardized course in real life), but as it turned out there are lots of different and quite interesting courses in the game. I expect bocce to be great fun especially for non-gamers by the way, since the controls are extremely easy and it's mainly about having a feeling for how soft/hard you have to throw the ball.

I experienced that too. I don't understand why some people even complain about it, if you know how to do it, the whole calibration process takes only about 2 seconds.

Playstation move sounds fun. I will be picking up the console bundle soon along with heavy rain. do you guys think i need an extra move controller. also how does move controller plus dualshock work? Should i pick up the nav controller as well?

Can't tell you, I didn't buy a nav. I have been trying to get used to using a DS3 for a while as an analog controller, I wanted to save the $30. I ended up not even needing it. Nothing uses it.

2x Move controllers is all you need besides the PSeye.

Not sure if Heavy Rain uses 2x controllers, although I doubt it does, the console should comes with Sports Champions, so I would say a 2nd controller purchase definitely helps.

I'm pretty sure than HR is contoler nav/DS3. And all the shooters like RE5/MAG/ etc will be.

Heh but this actually makes me happy i still have sisaxis controler that lower weight will came handy this time.

Im telling you right now, practice table tennis. You cant just try to slam it down people throats you need to guide the ball the same as in real life. Once you figure it out its insanely rewarding.

I actually find it too easy, which makes me think that there are loads of assists on. I feel like I could play most of the shots that I am playing, but less frequently, and I don't actually feel I am quite doing the right thing

So far, I just have 1 move controller and sports champions. I have enjoyed the game so far, but I feel I am suffering because I am too close to my TV and I don't quite have enough room to move...

The other slight problem is also due to my proximity to the TV. My TV is basically on the floor, and I sit on the floor, so it is an issue when standing up close to it, so the way to get it to work is to tilt the PS Eye back up... but then I have to adjust the move when I try and playing sitting down which is quite annoying

I have ordered a second move, and a navigation controller as the demos of RUSE and Heavy Rain got me very excited. I am very impressed with the precision and comfort of the controller. Having said that, the curved shape means that I find it hard to be sure precisely what angle the controller is at when playing table tennis, as it does not mimic the shape of the table tennis bat's handle, but I reckon the curveyness is best for most things

Yeah, it is literally press the move button, then move to shoulder, then side then buckle, it takes me about 2 secs

Also, I just wanted to point out the demo of the Shoot is rubbish, I was feeling bored by the end of it it just seems unexciting
