Single DLC's vs. GOTY Editions

I rather wait for GOTY's 12 37.50%

I rather buy the DLC to h... 2 6.25%

Depends on the Game, or the ammount of DLC 12 37.50%

I Dont care for additional Contents 2 6.25%

I 'usually' dont care f... 4 12.50%

Total:32

Okay, this is a Discussion about what kind of Edition you like better.

For Example, lets Take Dragon Age (Ultimate Edition coming), Fallout (Massive GOTY Edition) and RE5 (containing 'some', but still enough DLC)

If we look at the pricing, the Money you pay for the Fallout GOTY, or for the RE5 GE, is deeply below the Original Pricing of the original Games and the DLC from the PSN/XBL  Stores.

So, what kind of 'DLC' User are you? Do you want to have new DLC directly after it is released, or do you want to make a big catch for low Money with a Collection?

(As for me, i hate DLC, because it is a nonphysical Media. maybe i am a bit Oldfashioned, but i prefer Content to be on something i can hold in my Hands. :p so i prefer Collections)

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Obviously we all prefer the version with DLC included. But it usually takes about a year before they come out and most people don't want to wait.

Depends on the game. I bought all the DLC minus Mothership Zeta for Fallout 3 because I could not wait to get my hands on it. I bought Fable 2 platinum hits because I rented it, loved it, and it had been out for a few years and the platinum hits was more bang for the buck.

For RPGs and FPS games, I buy the DLC a week or two after it is released.

As for sand box and all other types, I wait around for a bit until the DLC is in hardcopy then I buy the DLC standalone or as a GOTY edition or platinum hits.

Depends on the game for me.

Japanese Pop Culture Otaku

It depends on the game and DLC. If I like the game enough I'll buy DLC. I never buy the GOTY edition, because you never know if there going to come out with one at all. I don't like to wait. lol

If it's a great game I simply can't wait for collections.

If it's a moderate quality game I can wait for the complete version.

If it's a good game I have a tough decision to make.

I can probably wait. That, or I won't buy any DLC at all. Luckily there's so little good DLC, it's mainly useless character skins and overpriced map packs.

Right now I'm thinking about selling my copy of Dragon Age and buying the upcoming collection.
