Forums - Gaming - How bad will the fanboy motion control wars get?

Ok, I see Sony doing the Move ads, and they do web ones that smack Nintendo.  You have other corporate ads to.  These are expected.  But, now you have the fanboy stuff starting to range.  Not only the posts on forums like this, where Move ands Kinect generate sales speculations.  But now we get vidoes on the subject.  I saw a giant Mii get smashed by a Move controller in a recent fan made spot.

So, I am now left with a question wondering how bad is this going to get?  Anyone have answers?

I'm guessing it will reach the level of the normal console war at some point, maybe even a few anti-Microsoft guys buying a Kinect on launch and trashing it, recording it and putting it on youtube.

I'm expecting handbags at dawn, hair pulling and a lot of tears over Move vs Kinect vs Wii.

Should be entertaining if perhaps a little wearing at times.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I'm guessing it will go nuts. Houses burned, people at the street destroying stuff, fights with the police, terrorist attacks to important building, mass arrests, thousands of deaths.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I don't think it will really get more heated than it is.  After both Move and Kinect fail to rock the world this Christmas, mention of both will taper off.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

They'll start burning Qu'ran on September 11, 'nuff said.

There really isn't going to be a"motion cotrol war." Nintendo won't allow that. They have been trying to avoid the red ocean with the Wii, and they're not going to let Sony change that. By the time the Move and Kinect really get going,  Nintendo will simply move on to new technologies like the Vitality Sensor, 3DS, and whatever new quirk the next Nintendo console has. I think Nintendo has learned from the red ocean wars of the Super NES, N64, and Gamecube. Any time Sony or MS tries to copy them, they will probably just move on and make something else, at which point that new thing will be emulated, and the circle of life repeats.

So bad that you'll wanna kick a dog.

Do you just like, conveniently forget about past gens, where Sony dominated generations and how Nintendo even came 3rd last gen? You seem to think Nintendo is impenetrable.

One day you're going to get a nasty wake up call.

But that's just it:  its not about Kinect vs. Move or Move vs. Wii or Wii vs Kinect.  Its STILL PS3/Sony fanboys vs 360/MS fanboys vs. Wii/Nintendo fanboys.

Yeah, I'm talking about people that don't plan on buying any of them but still can't resist taking shots at the one that's for a competing platform.

So will it escalate?  No.  As some have mentioned, this is just another outlet for an already established fanboy war.  Of course that doesn't make it any less irritating . . .
