Indeed. It amazes me how many so called "hardcore" gamers know so little of gaming history. This is why I appreciate History, and decided to major in it. It gives people wisdom. Without knowing your history, you end up with no frame of reference and make ignorant statements like what this jonnhy fellow said.

Look, we;ve already seen the 3DS is capable of this level or clsoe to it. Early betas of MGS3D suggest that near-PS2 levels will be reached close to the launch window. Long before this system retires, it's fair to expect beyond GC (maybe beyond Wii) graphics before the 3DS is fully tapped. Yeah, there's a smaller resolution to deal with, but it does such an increadible amount with what it has got that the 3DS may kill console gaming altogether given time. You know, if they offer a 32" version.

What good is the past when there is the future?

Well, I guess history really is good for dumb people. That's not to say people interested in history are dumb, I mean dumb people should know more about history. And maybe 'dumb' isn't the best word, 'ignorant' might work too.

Anyway, back on topic - a little bit at least. To me, judging by what I've seen so far, 3DS can render much better-looking things than Wii can. But that's what lower resolution does, you don't need as much power as you would if you used a higher resolution.
