I'm starting Physics at Oxford next week, but I would say I am more nervous than anything else. I have never been very sociable and so being dropped into a world where I know nobody really is more of a concern than excitement.

As for accommodation, I have absolutely no idea what is going on, I guess I will find out when I go up there, but they haven't told me anything about it. When I went up there for the interview I was in a room with a nearby shared bathroom... which I wasn't a fan of to say the least

What? I thought u were a uni student since... at least two years.

I think you might be confusing Munkeh with Highwaystar :P

lol you a mind reader?

No seriously, it's Munkeh. He has all these electronic devices and lots of games and I've both asked him how he has time for school playing all those games and how he can aafford all the electronics with a students loan.

Perhaps I am a mind reader, obviously not a very good one, though. :P

Uni starts next week for me as well. Graduating this quarter (ending in December).

It's crazy. Life passes by so quickly.

Ahh, don't say things like that! Fortunately, my student career is going to last 4 years at the least, as is the nature of my course, so I hope it lasts out!

Our graduation ceremony is hosted at Canterbury Cathedral, though... JOY

are you being sarcastic,i can't quite tell

but cantebury cathedral is an amazing building you should be priveleged, not many get that treatment

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

For those of you who can't stand the idea of sharing a bathroom; it does suck. But it's not all bad. I was in the dorms last year, and I ended up on the worst floor out of all of the engineering dorms. I mean the people, not the bathroom. The bathroom was shared between about thirty some of us. Five showers, seven stalls, and eight sinks. Thankfully, someone was in there to clean the entire place multiple times a week. You learn to deal with it though. For me, I was just grateful I wasn't in the regular dorms. Scarred me for life, the one time I went in one.

For those of you who are nervous about it; don't be. Once you get going, you really get going. I was nervous, but very excited. I couldn't wait to move out. But once classes started, the work didn't stop until after finals. Of course, I'm majoring in aerospace engineering, which isn't exactly a walk through the park kind of major, but... However much work you have, it's fun. If you like what you're learning about, you'll enjoy it a lot. I know I am.

You have certainly never mentioned student loans

@samuelrs, well I kind of know 1 person at my college, and a few others doing physics and plenty throughout Oxford,, but it is still a big place which is more of a problem for me
