Will X360 beat Wii for total America 2010 Sales?

X360 will Win 33 30.28%

Wii will Win 67 61.47%

Draw 9 8.26%

Total:109

You really think the drop from $250 to $200 had such a dramatic effect on sales that had it retained the $250 price tag that the "Dec sales would have been MUCH lower"?

And what recent gift giving holidays do you speak of?

This all depends on Kinect...

If Kinect appeals to the wider audience that it is targeting...  Yes...

If Kinect fails to appeal to the wider audience it is targeting... No...

In order for Microsoft to outsell the Wii for 2010 they will have to steal marketshare from the Wii demographic.  Kinect is the only vehicle Microsoft has for that.  The hard core gamer updating to 360 slim isn't going to be enough.

My bet is it won't cause Wii always pulls a massive holiday sales every year for some reason....(sad but true).

You get sad over console sales? You are even more emotional than me.

Wii party,DKC will give nintendo a big holiday boost, thats just 2 of the games coming out.

I think it will be Wii ahead imho

not worth it

I would agree with TheSource, but this upper/middle/lower middle class thing is a bit ...

too much

imho

That was from last year, and what I based userbase by income off of.

ok!

Wii was in front in all categories (current gen), even in upper middle class.

Statistics like this are a bit strange, but ok.

X360: best online, $200 for basic package, $300 for good package / Kinect package, MIcrosoft blockbusters (Fable, Halo), big selection of third party games, few exclusive third party games, Xbox and indie games via download, overwhelmingly for men of age 15-25 as a primary or secondary console gift. Sells to lower middle class looking for games that can be bought / traded in cheaply, and for online experiences that last forever, also to consumers who had PS2, want HD but can't afford PS3. Some headway into middle class families with TV / Movie / Internet services pushed into one box. Not really for upper middle class, which sees better features on Wii (motion, Nintendo exclusives and some third party exclusives, local multiplayer) or PS3 (graphics, Blu Ray, legacy PS2 era exclusives).

$60 games, many Microsoft games end up on PC, red ring of death weakest for local multiplayer.

Horribly wrong.

I could easily list over 50 great games with local multiplayer.

holy crap what a terrible study. only 2000 adults studied, and of those, like 25-35% own a video game system. You're looking at about 500 video game system owners. Now, how many are in each demographic? About 100? There's a reason it got lost in the internet abyss over the last year

LOL @ 360 Being the weakest for local multiplayer. OMG, are you serious?

But war... war never changes
