Kinect Gets Its Panzer Dragoon

Yukio Futatsugi, the creator of Panzer Dragoon and Phantom Dust, has a new game coming out for Microsoft's Kinect. What do you do? You ride dragons.

The game is called Project Draco, and has you both flying your dragon in aerial combat, as well as using Kinect's camera capabilities to "nurture and learn to communicate" with your steed, which in turn will help it fight more ferociously.

Panzer Dragoon fans, take one look at the design of those dragons in the image below, and smile.

It'll be out in 2011.

Cannot wait! MS is really rolling out the core games for Kinect now and I can't believe some of the awesome stuff coming!

Gief gameplay! They're announcing a buttload of interesting games (FINALLY!) and we're not getting any gameplay! AARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

I know! I want to see it in action! I'm kinda shocked at some of the big core game announcements for Kinect from TGS.  I'm so excited but who honestly thought they would be announcing a brand new Steel Battalion and Panzer Dragoon for Kinect?  Its starting to look like Kinect might be SERIOUSLY awesome after all, and obviously not just for casuals.  

While this is absolutely awesome news I am still scared to see how it plays.

I really hope it blows my mind because I love Panzer Dragoon and if this ends up being incredible I would probably pick up a 360 again.

Well, Steel Battalion wasn't that much of a shock, I think Capcom made some referencing to it earlier and we had a bit of a discussion about it on here, but I'm still very surprised that it's getting this many games. Now all we can do is hope for them to be awesome!

I agree hope the gameplay stands up, and I doubt that they would screw up a Panzer Dragoon game.

At the very least we already know the dragon designs are awesome.  That artwork looks phenomenal!  

I was wondering when people were going to get excited about this game. In the TGS thread it was kind of like ho hum.

You guys know it's not actually Panzer Dragoon right? It's from the creator of Panzer Dragoon, has dragons in it, but it's not Panzer Dragoon.
