Smart move.  From's last PS3 exclusive action RPG kinda bombed on them.

Not really. They said it sold better than they expected. Not sure how to take that besides it didn't bomb. :P

And this doesn't rule out a Demon's Souls 2 either, which would obviously be a PS3 exclusive.

this is Demons Souls 2. Get over it fanboy. I doubt anyone cares of DS 2 being exclusive, except for sony fanboys like yourself. Smart choice for them to make it multi-platform

In that case, Halo Reach, Fable 3 and Forza 4 should also be multiplat.

And Kinect should release for Wii

They expected 3DGH to sell less than 13k?  I'm sorry, I just can't believe that... source?

3D Dot Game Heroes sold less than 13k?

How? When? Where?

0.23m according to VG Chartz. Well people settle down, I know that the Demon's Soul trademark is probably tied to Sony, but let's be honest, Boletaria story is done, it's over, c'est fini, el fin, there isn't any way to explore or look for more in this place. I'd rather have a new world, time period, story, planet whatever than the old place.

That's what I mean. 230k sold isn't a flop for that kind of game... 100k would have probably been a success. Wonder where he's getting 13k from.

And me too!
Keep the same kind of gameplay, but change the locations and story up a while bunch.

I can't even find a single region in which it did less than 13k.

All hype for tekken died when it was announced as multi plat? wth? it didnt sell as well because it was outdated a bit namco waited to ling for it to release and thats why hype was lost Though it has sold almost 2.5 million combined . Also i have never heard of a game selling more because it was on one platform instead of two. can you even statistacly prove that to be true im wondering.

The game was finished in 2007... Can you guess one of the reasons why it came out so late?

Can you prove that more than one platform equals a more chances of profits? Cause one thing that DOES NOT have to be proved and is a SURE FACT is that developing on more than one console means:

Longer development time/More resources
Higher Budget

you know whats also a fact? that if namco didnt make tekken 6 multiplatform it would have sold less as theres no way all 820,000 people that bought tekken for xbox 360 have a ps3 and its a gurantee that all of them would not have bought a ps3 for tekken.  And no i cant think of why it came out so late i personally thought it took way to long.

No...

And the main reason why it came out so late was moving to multiplatform set up. The game was finished in Nov 2007 for arcades and the updated BR version which we got as just "Tekken 6" on Dec 2008. The arcade unit used to develop the game was based around the PS3.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken_6

In short, the UPDATED PS3 version was completely finished a year before the game was released... The regular version which they could have released [since Tekken 5 and Tekken5DR proves that Tekken fans don't mind an update later on, ala SFIV to SSFIV] was finished 2 whole years before the game was released.

"it didnt sell as well because it was outdated a bit namco waited to ling for it to release and thats why hype was lost" - I rest my case.

dude you still failed to explain how it wouldd have sold more as an exclusive just because it took longer to develop doesnt mean it would have sold more on a solo platform. I never said its lead platform wasnt on the ps3 or that an update wouldnt have been minded by the fanswhat are you delving into hear? lol im just saying that its guaranteed more profit as a multiplatorm.

Dude... you said yourself that it had weaker sales because it took too long. I explained why it took to long. What I explained is in line with what I'm trying to state just fine,

Multiplat = Longer dev time which WILL ALWAYS OF COURSE mean more resources leading to bigger budget. The game had more money it needed to make do it's development. You say the game didn't sell so well because of how long it took.

Fact is, in it's case, going multiplat did nothing good for the game. Also, there's nothing showing Multiplat=Better sales. Certainly didn't do anything good for PS3 owners since we got a fighter in 2009 that required a 4GB install to load as smoothly as it's 360 counterpart. Sadly around the time Uncharted comes along install free and with only one initial load screen....

Do you understand the type of resources required for multiplat and the sales needed to cover the longer devlopment time? How is it a fact that going multiplat did nothing good because as i have stated it would not have sold what it sold if it didnt go multiplat regardless of when it came out. If the game came out only for ps3 earlier it wouldnt have the same sales that it has today they would have been lower as most 360 owners wouldnt buy a ps3 for one game. And those close to 1 million sales for the 360 more than cover the cost of the extra devlopment cost and resources and then some. Come on im sure namco is more than happy with the sales of tekken 6 as they are working on tekken tag2, tekken 7, and tekken x street fighter. And I gurantee they will al be multiplatform. Why? More profit duh.

You said something completely different earlier.

And at this point they've already got the 360 engine and can develop both games at the same time from the get go... Might aswel go for multiplat release...

you bored to lol were done i suppose.

If its Demon's Souls 2 count me in , if its Simillar to demon's Souls  count me in, Heck if its made by From Software Count me in.

its clearly not a sequel that is unless Sony sold their IP , which might be true since they're keeping a silent voice about it.

It did 13k in Japan according to Famitsu.  And Japan was the only place From published it.

According to VGChartz it's sold 27k in Japan. Still not too great but double the number Famitsu have it at.

And it's gone on to sell 225k Worldwide.

I'm pretty sure they're pretty pleased with it's performance worldwide, even if it didn't do all too well in JP.

And even if they aren't too pleased with it. Who seriously expected THAT game to sell gangbusters anywhere?

Another Century's Episode: R shows that they could still rely on PS3-only for a game if they want to too IMO, even if it is a Mecha game.
