Yeah, if any console demographic is going to react negatively to the Tiger Woods thing, it's probably the Wii demographic.

1. Tiger himself probably hasn't been much of a help.
2. Wii owners don't want to buy the same game twice.

Yeah... I expected that the Wii crowd would really want a perfect game improved with only the inclusion of the Ryder Cup... millions of people rushing out to the stores for the Ryder cup... >_>

There just aren't enough fans of most sports to support an annual release schedule. How about you build online roster updates into the game and try a 2-3 year dev cycle instead of forcing this year's game to compete with last year's marginally less refined game. A lot of consumers are perfectly happy to buy last year's game at half the price. |
Exactly. If you bought PGA10 why would you spend an extra $50 on 11?
It's a golf game. What many changes can there be? lol

Haha I agree, In 2007 I was still playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004.

There is nothing to argue about, the market rejected it. Tiger woods used to be a top seller on wii the first couple years and rightly so because it offered something different from the other versions. The motion plus peripheral version was as good as it can be on wii but of course EA has to make excuses to justify the license or they will take it away from them. Till there is something that significantly changes the gameplay there is no reason for the consumer to upgrade from PGA2010 which is a perfectly fine golf game. To me this makes perfect sense, maybe not to EA but ohh well....
This isn't the only time simply slapping on a new year hasn't helped sales.
It seems teh ideot cazuals don't fall for that kind of release scheme.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

yeah, and although Moore won't acknowledge that in a interview, I don't think they learned the lesson.
the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

What?
If anything EA has improved SO MUCH in the past few years.
They went from being as hated as Activision to now even liked.
