Bottom line, Sony has really gone downhill as a company:

1. Sony made an imitation product, and are now bashing the original product which they imitated; fairly dirty.
2. They went from first place and profitable to last place and losing billions.
3. They lost almost all of their important exclusives (the most important being Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy)
4. They're hypocrites: while Microsoft praised Nintendo's new innovations before making their own unique brand o Motion Controls, Sony bashed them before completely copying the (except with a mysterious pastel colour glow-ball on the end, probably to help the controller appeal to little girls who want to pretend they're Sailor Moon)

1. sigh how many times do we have to post proof that move is no imitator have you lot not seen enough of this video yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbSzmRt7HhQ and there is an earlier video from 2001

2. video gaming changes rapidly Nintendo have gone from first to last as well look at what happened when ps first came out, i would not bet at wii staying up there for the rest of the gen, sorry but it is in decline now, your are right about losses but look at all the advancements made in gaming because of them, i have never seen anything as amazing as ps3, but just you watch wii2 will go HD and you all will start jumping on the HD bandwagon (hypocrites)

3. They have not lost all their important exclusives they just chose to let some of them go that's all, meanwhile sony is creating new innovative and exciting I.P's unlike others who just seem to be releasing re-hashed games... yawn

4. wrong they was going on about their own technology they though originally that move may have the same fate as eyetoy, even tho it sold well, long term software sales did die quickly, but since they saw that wii managed to keep the sales up for it's motion control device, they finally decided to unleash it.

Finally kinect is nothing new I love how all you hypocrites are calling it new well hello eyetoy hits you bam in the face, so far all the games are so much like eyetoy games it''s obvious, atleast move is innovating already, first RTS (RUSE) and echochrome ii is totally fresh

So Kinect is a copy of Eye Toy, but the Move is Not a copy of the Wii mote. Interesting. What if some shoddy youtube video with a date of 1999 was shown and MS claimed they had this tech in mind waaaay before Eye Toy was released...Nah what am I saying you'd probably call that video a joke. Sports Champions is innovating. Not like I haven't seen those games before. You can't have it both ways, love.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Haha, Kinect is far more innovative than Move. I mean, granted, the GAMES on Move look way better, but the hardware is at least somewhat new. I don't see how anyone can look at the Move, with its nunchuck compared to a Wiimote with its nunchuck side by side and actually say with a straight face that Move did not copy the Wiimote. Maybe Sony had some plans with motion controls to some extent (that's what the eyetoy does after all), but I guarantee you it would have been implemented in THAT WAY, as in, remote like object with a nunchuck, with games like "Sports Champions", if the Wii did not exist.

For those carrying on about how much "better" Move apparently is, let's wait until the thing is actually released before making such claims. But as I've said, the thing better be improved on the Wiimote considering it's coming out 4 years later.

I still don't understand this. It can't do anything WMplus can't do. So hoooow is it going to be better? But I guess Nintendo fans thought the Wiimotes would be perfect too. After it's released to the public, the problems will start showing themselves. Same with Kinect. Low budget games that don't impliment the motion controls very well will pop up everywhere for PS3 and 360 owners. Light sources will cause interfirence. And the games that do provide true 1:1 movements won't be very popular because people will discover very quickly that they don't want to be up and moving around every time they play games. Nintendo has learned this, which is why a lot of games don't even use WMplus. Motion controled gaming doesn't need to be anything more than an IR pointer and a wrist flick. I personally prefer the wrist flick. It's quick and easy, and I don't look like an idiot doing it. That being said, I could be eating my words in a couple weeks here, but I doubt it.

it does more than WM .. and has the PS EYE for full body tracking.. also MOVE tracks into the Z axis.. wii does not

Um actually yes, Wiimote can track depth

What game shows that?

Ever hear of Red Steel? It came out in 2006...

Just because most devs choose not to use that functionality, doesn't mean the Wiimote is incapable of doing it.

that doesn't use it, and yes i heard about it, and i actually hated it (made a thread about it also)

Um yes it does.. You zoom in and out with the snipers. And it allows you to stay zoomed in, or zoom back out in varying degrees while aiming, which means it's not just the accelerometers recognising a quick "stab" motion but it actually is tracking depth on the z axis.

I didn't like it either, was really awkward, but my point being that it does it.

The Wiimote with motion plus can track virtually any time of movement, turn, twist, etc.. So I fail to see how Move can do more, when motion plus already recognizes everything. The only difference is that the Move uses a camera to track its relative position while Wiimote uses the more simplistic sensor bar. But the result is essentially the same. Like I said, since there is no camera with the Wii, you occassionally need to callabrate, but from the two games I've played so far (Sports Resort and RS2, this process only takes a few seconds)

Regardless, all this talk about which is better is irrelivent, becuase it is all going to boil down to the games. Sony is going to learn that much like graphics and horsepower, the average consumer isn't going to care too much about 1:1 motion, especially if the games don't deliver.

do i have to repeat myself like a broken record? , Read my other comments below, its gyros.

It can't just be gyros if the Wiimote can actually ZOOM in, stayed zoomed in, and zoom in/out to multiple degrees. It has to be able to track how close it is to the sensor bar, meaning it is tracking depth on the z axis.

For example, in Red Steel, if you zoom in just a little, the sniper will zoom just a little. In order for the scope to remain zoomed to that degree, you have to keep your controller in that particular distance from the TV. If you continue to zoom in more, the scope zooms in more. If you pull it back, well, you get the idea..

I GIVE UP!!!

i keep repeating myself again and again and again and again............! , just scroll up why don't you? , and i WONT be replying again to this thread.

I said nothing about sport champions innovating, it only improves on WSR, what i did say innovated was echochrome ii, like i said above i think i am wasting my time now if you all want to be ignorant, that is fine by me

@mettallicube  oh brother, lets get some facts here, Sony was developing a motion control before Ninty. They did a whole article in the recent Game Informer which is a respectable AND legit publishing magazine. If you are in denial and refuse to believe that then thats you. I will give N credit for actually bringing it to the public first. THe kinect is a souped up Eyetoy theres nothing wrong with that but thats what it is. Nintendo is not the innovator you think. 3d in games Sony is already doing that. DS touch screen, guess what there was a portable called Gamescom made by Tiger some years back that had that tech. It sucked but it was there. As for your hate against Sony fans, I like my Wii its not my favorite console but im not trading it in. THe fact is the motion sucks.   I even bought the Motion when bundled with RS2 and I love that game but that was it as far as Motion came. What else has been done since??? I gotta wait 6 months for Zelda. Killzone 3 will be here before that. Like the guy at the beginning of the post said. If Move is going to be better than the Wiimote Im not going to say oh poor Wii Im going say screw Wiimote and waggle im getting Move

ignorance is bliss, also like i said reviewer's have already had hands on and the feedback is good!!you actually sound like you are real scared of the move at this point, oh look another good move review yaya i can keep posting these all night carry on making things worse for yourself tho xD

http://www.psbeyond.com/reviews/Playstation-Move-Controller-Review.18829.html

AS FOR KINECT

kinectimals == eyepet / nintendogs

kinect sports == wii sports / sports champions / eyetoy sports

dance central == ddr / wii dance

so where is you innovative title may i ask??

Finally I know for a fact that if i had posted as much negativity but on the wii, as you have done on move I would be banned by now...

not surprising from sony....

anywho this thread sure is a funny one. we have the two usuall corners:

red corner: Move is WAY better than the wii mote cuz it comes from sony and they innovate and they made it better and more precise and we have PSeye and its got full 1:1 and can do everything the wii mote cant and the reviewers say so! wii fans are ignorant!

blue corner: The Move is nothing but a copy cat product and sony are hypocrites cuz all they did was bash the wii-mote then release a copy! the sony fans are the same way and are hypocrites cuz they hated motion games 'till sony made motion games! and the wii-mote with WM can do everything the move can!

its the same thing every time. both sides exaggerate way to much and bring up ridiculous points. quite frankly, i agree with metallicube in that the Move better be more accurate than the wii-mote considering it had 4 years to become better.

for me, both HD systems are only just starting to get a line-up that would warrant a purchase from me. and im honestly more interested in the 360 (and PC gaming), though worry not, kinect has nothing to do with it. though i do feel that kinect will have more interesting as time goes on.
