I haven't been bothered to order them, but I suppose I will. I still haven't gotten a replacement wrist strap for one of my Wiimotes, so... I am kind of too lazy.

The jacket is great for me.
With a five-year-old son, it is a good idea to be careful.
I keep two remotes in jackets and have one without -- for use with games where I need to rotate my controller and use it in a more classic manner.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
i thought the same thing, but i got them anyways since they were free, and they don't actually look all that bad, and they are very comfortable to hold too (sideways holding is much better also)
I really don't get what's so "hideous" about it. I'm 99% certain you guys just think it looks ugly because you're used to the way the Wiimote normally looks, and this is a major difference to the aesthetic.

this is for people that don't want to use the wrist thing -_-
Well, just my opinion (of course) but I'm a purist and a minimalist. I don't use the wrist straps and I don't want a jacket. The Wii remote is perfectly sized and shaped for my hand. I'm sure the jackets are "comfy," but for me the Wii remote is comfortable enough.
I've never lost control and I don’t have other people playing my Wii. If I did, I would make them use the wrist strap.
My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):
Wii : 50 million
360: 28 million
PS3: 24 million
These predictions were made on January 3rd and won't be revised
Anyone order the new Wii straps with their Jackets? I had noticed on the instruction card that was shipped with the Jackets that the strap looked redesigned (again), now with a latch lock instead of the rubber slider thingy. You can actually see that in the picture above in the first post on this thread showing the jacket. I checked NOA's online store and there was no price for straps direct from Ninty, so I called customer service to ask how much I could buy them for. The rep I spoke to asked if mine were covered under the recall from last year, and I told him no, I was just interested in getting the new straps, and I'd even pay for them.
He shipped me four, no charge. That phone call was on Wednesday, and the straps arrived today. Very nice! Now I won't have to fumble around with readjusting the slide lock between sets of Wii Tennis. These look like they'll stay put once they're on.
I ordered 4 of these from Nintendo and they have so far sent me 8!
Im thinking of getting them to protect the world from my older brother, to quote him.
"The wrist strap is for pussies"
"You gotta play Wii sports like a real game, otherwise whats the point?"
