Forums - Nintendo - The Wiimote Jacket is unspeakably hideous

Ha Ha. we must protect the world from the Wii-motes. I used to use my Wii-mote to hammer nails in as it is better than a hammer.

You've never seen a room full of seven year olds playing Wii Tennis, have you?

I ordered some, but it's been a while. I figured it would take some time to get them. How long did it take for people here to get theirs after they ordered them?

I ordered mine when they first offered them... it seemed to take FOREVER to get them.  You can check the status of your order on their website.  I'd expect them to take at least 5-6 weeks.  My Zelda Stylus which I registered for on launch day just arrived last Friday... that took a long time as well.  The new wrist straps didn't take as long to show up... maybe 2-3 weeks.  I got them before my wedding and all my friends noticed them right away once they walked in the house...  LOL little things people notice eh?  The one couple doesn't have a Wii but they've wanted one forever so they've been reading up a lot on it.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

The Wii Condoms are pretty good. They do break the small & sleek look of the Wiimote but once I start a game it doesn't matter. The grip helps me a lot; my fingers are much less likely to bunch up when I hold it sideways.

And it helps prevent my sweat from building up on the controller, the bane of my other controllers. I'm a bit paranoid about it.

Oh, and Nintendo's website gives away free Wii Condoms. So y'know, you can't lose.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

I got all four of mine in about 2 weeks after they shipped. However, I ordered in September nearly a month before the first shipment and it is likely mine shipped the day they sent them out. (I think that was Oct 15).

I like them personally, they definately more comforatable than the wiimote by itself or the thrid party jackets. This really is a benefit when pplay sessions become 3 hours or longer. My hands used to cramp becaus the plain wiimote was too small and my whole hand would wrap around it creating a claw effect. Since I got the jackets I haven't had this problem.

The Wiimote Jacket is unspeakably hideous................. but free............

Got myself four, tried them, prefer without it. But hey it's free and some people like them.

It's fine from what I can tell.

I did think at first it had made my hands sweat more than Wiimote alone, but when i took it off again it seems about the same.

Now i keep 1 reote with it on and one without so i can decide which i prefer.... generally the more gestural [waggle] the game the more likely i will choise Wiimote 2, which has the jacket on.

@dryden, no i have not, it sounds dangerous.
My uncle threw one of my remotes [no jacket] at the VCR below the TV during bowling, it bounced off and then hit a wall yet was fine, luckily the VCR survived but the whole front panel had detached, but it forced back on. Though it has a crack in it now.

reminds me of those shoes that retards wear

no offense

When I took them out of the packet, I was taken about by their ugliness. I then put them on and found that they are very comfortable. However, no amount of comfort would make me want to keep the ugly things. I have since gotten rid of them.
