The paradox is that Christianity made the West humane, soft and tolerant but the people who are pushing the turn-the-other-cheek mentality into the self hate and suicide of our culture we are witnessing today are non-religious liberals and socialists.

False! Don't make stuff up.

The only paradox i see is your statement, because you don't sound like "soft and tolerant" person. More like xenophobic person...

tol·er·ate

tr.v. tol·er·at·ed, tol·er·at·ing, tol·er·ates
1. To allow without prohibiting or opposing; permit.
2. To recognize and respect (the rights, beliefs, or practices of others).
3. To put up with; endure.

Christianity made west humane? Really? Because Church is so soft and tolerant in Dark Ages all that did, thought or believed differently were labeled heretics and were burned, hanged, stoned... Even today Church teaches us some important values... Like sleeping with kids is OK as long noone finds out.

And liberals and socialists are true plague of this world... Because tolerance, freedoms (speech, sex, religion...), free education for everyone, free health care for everyone... are truly very BAD values/goals.

not more cowardly, but more civilized

I look at it this way. Overseas they are people who live in 3rd world countries which are still ruled by faith rather then choice. Since those nations haven't matured yet it is expected they burn books and kill people of faiths they refuse to believe in (even though Christianity was born from Hebrew and Islamic faith mostly...). Once these countries get a grip on reality and move their economies into at least being a classified as a 2nd world nation things like book burning and anti-other faiths will stop or be dramatically cut down. Of course it will never ever end, as there are extremists in the US today in the form of say the Westboro Church, Scientology, and others.

Still, in those nations there are people who will not burn other faiths books and murder people. It is mostly the fanatics that do all the extreme things.

FTR that's wrong. Islam appeared after Christianity. Christianity wasn't born from Islam.

That's fine, it's your total right, I would be interested why you disagree with those parts though? I mean it's a fact that Mohammed killed innocent people (and instructed his followers to do the same) and married a 6 year old girl and had sex with her when she was 9 so that covers the murderous and paedophile parts. And since this murderous paedophile would be seen as evil in many people's eyescreated a religion that although was partly based on the Bible was also based on his own evil beliefs (and if it's true that he was visited by a supernatural entity then it was probably a demon or Satan himself) then that religion, Islam, can be described as evil and bloodthirsty in the sense that it says "kuffar" can and should be killed. Marxism and the NWO are also evil cults, their aim is to enslave humanity for a small "elite" community of psychopaths. Marxism created political correctness which is a major weapon of the NWO so those w and he ho support it and use it are willing slaves of the NWO. And hypocritical scum should be obvious, for example defending offending loads of people by building a mosque close to Ground Zero in (or at the site of, did they pull it down? I forgot) a building that was hit by part of one of the planes and saying it's their constitutional right to whether it offends anyone or not then crying about some guy saying he'll burn a load of korans (that he bought, it's not like they're stolen) and trying to find anyway to stop him despite it being his constitutional right to say that and even do it if he wants as they're his property. Now you'll probably say I'm a hypocrite for being against the Ground Zero mosque but I'm not because I don't regard Islam as a valid religion, more like a terrorist cult, so therefore shouldn't be protected by the American constitution. Before anyone tells me about all the wonderful muslims they know or if they're muslims themselves, I'm sure there were plenty of nice people in the Peoples Temple (Jim Jones' cult) and the Manson Family but that doesn't mean those cults weren't evil or that I should respect them.

Those are serious charges to level. However, just because you choose to call muslims a terrorist cult, doesn't mean it's the case. Infact, this puts you quite decidedly, into a "problem" category of people that keep this world in  it's perpetual turmoil. As long as people like you (those with extremist views) exist, there will always be others as extreme in other directions... and thus... problems. I'm a Christian, and I know plenty of Muslims. I would never think of burnign the Quran, and they wouldn't burn the Bible. We believe in different things, but that doesn't prevent us from being peaceable, since it's a basic tenet of both of our religions.

Comparing them to small dangerous cults is extremely unfair. It's the same as classing all Christians in with the KKK, though all the rest of us are completely disgusted by their existence. There are muslim extremists, just like there are Christian ones, however to make a blanket statement like yours shows a sad degree of ignorance and intolerance.

I don't know what you are, a blind? You wanted to picture the Muslim world as full of bad people who burn bible, burn poster of Jesus. You should open your eyes and give some proper incidents where those things happen. Muslims never do such things which Christians are doing for long. In Guantanamo, everyone saw how Muslims and the Quran were disregarded. Burning Quran is Christian's work, burning bible is not Muslims'. You draw mocking cartoon of other religion, not the Muslims.

Open your eyes and stop pretending that all christians are good people.

Just FYI, if you look at the heritage of the faiths... the prophet muhummad claims lineage from Ishmael, Abraham's firstborn - whereas Christians of course follow Jesus, who was born a Jew and descended from Abraham through Isaac. Long story short, Abraham's seed was promised blessings, and both lines(Jewish and Islamic) essentially think that blessing belongs to them.

Christianity however is seperate from both, as the Jews who previously had God's favor lost it, as Jesus made clear.
