I look at it this way. Overseas they are people who live in 3rd world countries which are still ruled by faith rather then choice. Since those nations haven't matured yet it is expected they burn books and kill people of faiths they refuse to believe in (even though Christianity was born from Hebrew and Islamic faith mostly...). Once these countries get a grip on reality and move their economies into at least being a classified as a 2nd world nation things like book burning and anti-other faiths will stop or be dramatically cut down. Of course it will never ever end, as there are extremists in the US today in the form of say the Westboro Church, Scientology, and others.

Still, in those nations there are people who will not burn other faiths books and murder people. It is mostly the fanatics that do all the extreme things.

FTR that's wrong. Islam appeared after Christianity. Christianity wasn't born from Islam.

Could have sworn it was....
Whatever... half that single line is wrong... oh well...

Just FYI, if you look at the heritage of the faiths... the prophet muhummad claims lineage from Ishmael, Abraham's firstborn - whereas Christians of course follow Jesus, who was born a Jew and descended from Abraham through Isaac. Long story short, Abraham's seed was promised blessings, and both lines(Jewish and Islamic) essentially think that blessing belongs to them.

Christianity however is seperate from both, as the Jews who previously had God's favor lost it, as Jesus made clear.
