Heavy Rain would have become a huge success on the Xbox 360.

X360 has the biggest software sales and attach ratio in this generation. The next Quantic Dreams game will sell millions on the X360. Multiplatform is the logical way to go, just like Bungie and those guys who made Heavenly Swrds and now Enslaved.

puh-lease acting like a Xbox 360 Rep guy doesn't suit you

Though you saying, "those guys" did kinda ruin the illusion....that was too informal!

Oblivion FTW!

Where the hell has he said xbox ? Other platforms doesn't necessarily mean the 360. Selective journalism to gather hits FTW !

They made an assumption but is it a bad one? I mean looking at the state of PC gaming that would hardly open them up to a massive new audience.

Looking at the kind of games they make I dunno if they'll want to go for the Wii market. That leaves PS3 and 360.

but the PC is the home of the adventure game, and adventure (excluding "action" adventures, read shooters/brawlers with adventuring) games do better on PC than any other platform so it is logical that the latest branch in the genre would come to the PC lol.

They used to do well on PC. But Heavy Rain sales show where a lot of potential is.

Do you think a future game similar to Heavy Rain would do better on PC than on xbox 360?

Yes.

Why.

That type of game was born on the PC. I'm guessing that's what he means.

But do games like that still sell well on PC?

I mean say a Heavy Rain 360 version did Alan Wake level sales.........considering AW will get to 1 Million eventually can we be confident PC sales would be near 1 Million

Its impossible to say what would happen

Dude... Just quit...After the number of "Heavy Rain's too different", "Heavy Rain's too niche", "Heavy Rain will struggle to get to 300K" threads you added fuel to you post this shit? Multiplat doesn't guarantee good sales. Being on the 360 doesn't guarantee success. And let's not forget your infamous "Alan Wake will sell 3M" posts because of the same highlighted reasons above.

What made Heavy Rain a success was the support from SONY. Had it been up to MS and Nintendo we probably would have never even had Heay Rain. THe game started off as a multiplat game looking for a pusblisher. MS were one of the many that turned it down. SONY's the only developer willing to take in games based on potential instead of sales.

Buying GG for KZ2/3 and KZ:L after KZ1 was considered a flop.
Supporting MediaMolecule after they broke of from MS due to zero support for their idea which became the success known as LBP.
Buying Zipper and supporting their desire to develop a 256 player game, something which was labelled impossible by critics on PS3.
Allowing PD to spend 5 years and probably over $70M by now on a racing simulator

Oops.

(How on earth do you even remember all that? )

Wise Move, Why Alienate such a huge market that 360 has, Seems Foolish in my opinion!!

Boo, Sony quick, buy Quantic Dream!!

In all seriousness, after the great support they got from Sony, and the incredible succcess of Heavy Rain, I don't even know why he even considers it. When they go multiplat, they surely won't get Sony as publisher. Tough luck on finding another publisher who supports their next game that much. AFAIK, Sony is the absolute top, when it comes to publishers.

Ahh well, they can always go to Activision. XD

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

EA with the EA Partners program? That's got Valve, Insomniac and Respawn in it, and I think EA would be interested in working with Quantic Dream to be honest.

Respawn comes from Activision, so they probably aren't having to o high standards when it comes to support. :D

Insomniac just recently changed to EA. We and they have yet to see how much support goes into their games. The same goes for Respawn, too, actually.

And Valve, well they're a thing on their own anyway. And I can't recall the support for The Orange Box being really good.

Don't get me wrong, Ea has changed much in the recent months, and I'm not saying they are bad publishers, but better than Sony? I don't think so.
