Forums - Sales - EMEAA up sept 4!

Other M bomba! Even though I despise the game, I hate to see it do poorly. Nintendo might put Metroid on another 8 year hiatus :(

Around the Network

Metroid was never big in Europe.  Check the sales difference between Americ and Europe for all the titles.  Corruprtion is the only to have even 50% of the American sales.  Many of them were just 25% of the American total.

team ninja just killed metroid prime before I even got a chance to get into the serie

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

But if this number turns out to be 25-50% of the American sales... that's still terrible.

Wow, Metroid numbers make me sad =(

Metroid bombs..shame

It better be better in the NA. Ninty is actually supporting the game well, I see ads for it all the time

Good numbers all around for ps3/wii/360

If it's 25% of the US numbers, it will be right in line with Metroid Prime Trilogy figures which opened to 115k in the Americas.  In fact that title only sold 10k first week in Europe.

And so, in conclusion, the Wii is not dead, Metroid is going to go on another decade long break, Hawx and Valkyria Chronicles did even worse,  Wii Sports Resort reached 8 million, Sniper and Kayne and Lynch are too sucessful, the 360 is going down bit by bit, and boy was the PS3 popular last year.

Did I forget anything?

the ps3 will win no weeks this year at all, not even the week gt5 comes out, bookmark it.

YAY! please keep going down 360! at least after H:R you have to go DOWN!

it should be down again next Week but then pick up with Reach... Time will tell.

I would have thought 96% of halo fans would already have a 360, so it wont boost 360 HW by a huge margin.

That argument is stupid.

1. Thats what people said about Halo 2, and 3.

2. Not everyone who will buy Halo Reach has played the previous games.

What if halo has 10 million fans, 4% of them still haven't got a 360, that's a 400K BOOST. HUGE

I think 100% of Halo fans have a 360. But 99% of those fans have a phat 360 from before or not long after Halo 3 launched. So Reach launch means a special edition 360s for the lucky ones, or an upgrade to normal 360s so they have a nice shiney new 360 on which to play their nice shiney new Halo game.

Because of the special edition Halo 360 the HW boost will be Huge. But not because of the game, it'll be because of the special HW, same as MW2 boost.

@bolded O-o wasn't H3 the first Halo game on 360? I would have thought every man and his dog would be predicting HUGE 360 boost for Halo 3 launch.

Anyway, I think Wii>360 next week then 360>Wii on H:R launch week, then because Halo isn't as huge in EMEAA as in Americas Wii>360 the week after. Meanwhile PS3 will slowly climb it's way back to being in 2nd position weekly some time in October (though forever 3rd in UK).
