Before I begin, this comes from a non shooter fan which is a Plus and a Minus. Plus side allows me to go in without the over judemental and elitist atitude towards it but on minus I dont know what the average standards are for shooters so I might be being nice. Lets begin
1. Graphically and artistically the game looks great: Im actual pretty shocked, this game has been under the radar and in a big haitus leading me to believe the game might not be living up to its original standards.
But boy was wrong. The game looks Great.. really art style, good detailed models, great monster design, great lookin weapon models very clean looking and all the special effects look nicely done too, but everything looks like it bonded with Venoms symbiote.
2. Nice sound - Had cool music, voices are not bad but i think for this kind of game it might be syd has a kind boring voice...like a lack enthusiam while filenia has the typical anime woman voice kind of too dramtic. Im assuming its the living tower speaking but it had fitting voice kinda a mix between alien and machine and when you die it always makes sure o rub it in. as now nothing too really annoying in the sound department
3. The Partner/combo system is interesting, by pressing L2 you can gather and then launch Filenia at enemies to stun of kill them and depending on your choice the it will determine how long the charge meter has to refill( its not a finite) anothter thing to note is that she has to be in your area to be used you dont have be arms length close thoug. also you can bull some cool flashy lookin combos off with some correct button timing..i didnt get a chance to experince with this much but by lookin at the video montage at the end of the demo it looks like it could b alot of fun when mastered.
The living tower cover system was intertaining. - basically you have 2 types of cover the pemanent cover and the temporay cover in the form of the tower constantly switching everything up.. it keeps you on feet in moving when you in cover then all of a sudden it vanishs and leaves you wide open.
all in all... I enjoyed it. Most issues i had witht the game was due to my own lack of experience( aiming!!!) I think it has potential to at least be entertaining.. it most likely wont be super AAA just good
so before we let OXM convince us the game is utter garbage... i say give the demo a shot before we submit to any opnion.
