So are 3D movies nothing but a gimmick are does it make the movie better? I saw pirinah 3D and I personally did'nt get what the big deal was. Something appearing to jump out of the screen is kind of cool,but I'd prefer to just was the regular version of the movie. Maybe I need to actually watch a good movie in 3D,but I'd doubt that would even change my mind,about 3D movies being nothing but a cheap gimmick.

The first "real" 3D movie that I'm going to see is Resident Evil: Afterlife. The other 3D movies that I've seen were converted to 3D in post-production so I guess I haven't really experienced it yet.

They are the future of porn

They're the future, I've enjoyed the 3D in every 3D movie I've seen, although Avatar is the only movie I've seen that isn't 100% CGI. Honestly, I don't care about having stuff jump at me, I just like that the picture has depth, because the viewing experience is much more natural.

How To Train Your Dragon's 3D was amazing! The Flying scenes were breathtaking, and the best use of 3D (IMO). I think when used properly, 3D can be wonderful.

They're a gimmick.

They have two purposes and neither of them are to make the movie better:

• 1. To make you see the movie in the theater rather than pirate it or wait for it to come out on disc
• 2. To hike up the prices *even more* and make more money

The problem that most movies have been made with 2D in mind. Like whenever things are right in your face but out of focus, there is a shot with characters leaving to the side or when those objects suddenly appears to fall downward, it's impossible to see. For example in Alice in wonderland, while falling down "the rabbit hole", damn that thing gave me headaches, couldn't see it clearly at all!

I hope not I'd rather not have jizz flying at me in 3-D :S
