Conduit 2 Hits Delay, Coming in 2011

Sega and High Voltage also confirm Classic Controller support for the sequel.

Agent Ford’s second foray is on hold, at least for a couple more months.

In an e-mail exchange with Sega and High Voltage public relations in regard to Conduit 2, we were notified that the game’s release date has been pushed back to the first quarter of 2011. The game was scheduled to hit store shelves Nov. 2.

Along with the delay, a couple of new control methods were confirmed for the sequel. Players will be able to use their Classic Controllers or Classic Controller Pros to blast the Drudge or each other in multiplayer, according to High Voltage. The game also takes advantage of Wii MotionPlus, as well as the system standard of Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Conduit 2, a Wii exclusive, will be playable this weekend at PAX in Seattle, Washington.

ot would have done much better on holiday.....

That's the best thing they could have done.

They really had no choice.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Understandable. It looks like Activision is monopolizing the Wii FPS again this year.

It sucks that they miss the holiday window, but getting away from CoD and GoldenEye was probably a good choice.  I guess we get to see if IR pointing or dual analogs are better.

That's a good decision. Trying to fight both CoD and GoldenEye would most likely end in disaster. Hopefully they use the extra time to polish the game.

And take advantage of the marketing that isn't crowded in the holidays.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

They were right to delay it. Going up against GoldenEye 007 and Call of Duty: Black Ops wouldn't end well for High Voltage. It makes it easier on the wallet this November though.

In the end though it don't think it's going to matter. If the game is released this November or in 2011 Sega still isn't going to give a damn. They still aren't going to advertise the game. If they do anything it will be the same stupid midnight advertisements no one, especially not the target audience, will ever see.

Oh well, I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy both GoldenEye 007 and Conduit 2, now I will most likely buy GoldenEye 007. I now have 2 games to look forward to in 2011, Conduit 2 and Zelda.
