Ball: The most obvious thing about the Move controller is the big, white, rubber ball that rests at the very top of the controller. The empty, light-up ball isn't there to just make it easier for the Playstation 3's camera to track your movement. We've also found that developers use the ball's ability to change colors on the fly to augment gameplay. The ball flashes colors in some games, denoting your movements, or reaction to things happening in the game. This extra bit of sensory feedback has, we think, some pretty exciting potential and shows that Sony is looking beyond just matching what's already in the motion gaming market.

Finally, Augmented Reality: We haven't really seen a lot of this yet, but the Playstation Move nails augmented reality and does it in a way that you're going to enjoy. Games like Start the Party, EyePet and even Sports Champions all experiment with the idea of turning that Move controller into a piece of cartoon fiction when it shows up in live video on your television. The first time you see it, a live video of yourself holding a cartoon weapon or silly toy, it's really neat. Imagine what developers may do with this in a year or two.

You lost me. What's the point here?

Is this about my mention of the USB cord length?

6 1/2 feet isn't really a con or a pro. I am just stating that due to it's length his con was bogus, especially since it was based on a "if this" or "If that" mentality. The cord length didn't effect the reviewer in any way what so ever.

He was finding excuses for giving it a low score, but he did not make any sense at all I agree that this is a totally biased review, take in the fact that most review are hitting in the 8 - 9 / 10 range you know that they basically are just trying to make the move look bad.

I think your post is being biased. What does it matter that the review is going against most other reviews. A review is nothing more than someone's opinion. Everybody has to all of a sudden like the move, just because you do,that is being biased in it's self. lol

I lost my last ounce of respect I had for Sony when they came out with this blatant Wii copy.

I LOST MY TEN OUCES OF RESPECT WHEN PEOPLE CALLED IT A COPY DESPITE YOUTUBE OF EVIDENCE FROM OVER TEN YEARS AGO

OK. NINTENDO DON'T GO REVEALING THEIR IDEAS BEFORE THEY NEED TOO. OTHERWISE PEOPLE JUST COPY. SO HOW DO WE KNOW THEY DIDN'T HAVE SOMETHING IN THE WORKS BEFORE THAT???

HOW THE FUCK DO WE KNOW THEY DID? Until you prove Nintendo had a motion controller before 2002, we're just gonna have to stop calling Move a rip off huh?

at the end of the day it is a copy because they didn't have the guts to release it themselves. On top of that they slammed motion controls and now they cool?

That is in absolutely NO WAY a copy. Can we say that Nitendo copied DVD drive because they didnt want to launch it at the same time sony and MS did? And they slammed gimmicks

They also slammed 3DS for not using glasses for 3D, and guess what now SONY is making a 3D tv that doesn't require glasses because toshiba are making one.

SUCH A LAME RESPONSE. THERE IS PROOF OUT THERE:

"Sources also indicate that the Wii Remote was originally in development as a controller for the Nintendo GameCube, rather than the Wii.Video game developer Factor 5 stated that during development of launch title Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, it had an early prototype of a motion-sensing controller.[6]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Remote

That game launched in 2001.

I THINK THEY KIND OF GOT FORCED INTO DVD BY DEVELOPERS AS CARTRIDGES WHERE EXPENSIVE. OTHERWISE NINTENDO WOULD STILL BE USING SOMETHING SIMILAR TO CARTRIDGES LIKE FLASH.

DS IS A DIFFERENT STORY AS IT REALLY HAD NO COMPETITION SO DEVELOPERS HAVE NO SAY.

They also slammed 3DS for not using glasses for 3D, and guess what now SONY is making a 3D tv that doesn't require glasses because toshiba are making one.

You know what? This video sealed the deal for me:

No I am not being biased at all for that review, have you read the complaint he made they really were not relevant at all, sorry but the reason why I said the move reviews should fall into the range of 8 - 9 /10 reasons for me saying this are as below

  • recalibration is needed on environment change and swapping of users and some people may find it annoying.
  • the eye hates bright sunlight, however the move still works in these conditions, just not as well (normally it takes being outside for it to play up or a really intense and bright light, watch the iWaggle move vs light for details http://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5170160) JUST WATCH HOW MUCH IT TAKES FOR IT TO HAPPEN, THE MOVE CAN TAKE ALOT OF CHANGES
  • the accuracy may be too much for some users as they may have hand/eye coordination issues.

These issues however do not take away many points from the overall score which is in the 8 - 9 /10 range if we are being fair here as some of these points will not be valid for some people.

I hope that explains my reasoning behind my view of where the move should fall into review score wise
