is a cover system really needed? I could always crotch down behind something and pick guys off in GTA3 - GTA:SA.
Just finished watching the trailer off of PSN, and its another GTA. Really that is all that can be said. We all know it is going to be a huge game with massive amounts of variety, and a half ways decent story. The graphics are passable if you compare it to what GTA looked like next to games of last gen, and that is all I ask for. If you want a game that has a massive world with some of the best graphics on any system, I am sure Sony will have The Getaway out 6 months after GTA4. As for right now, yeah I will get this game, I will have a blast for hopefully 50+ hours, but for now High Volocity bowling is awsome.

I assume a large part of the game will involve punching people or hitting them with some sort of weapon, so it's not that minor. I don't care if graphics are awesome or horrible, but inconsistant... that takes me right outta that game. It'd be better off without blood if they keep it like that.
Either way, it won't stop me from getting the game if it shows enough to get me to upgrade over GTA3, but it will still annoy me.

Guys can we stop forgetting that this is also a Multi-plat title with a much larger sense of scale than even Assassins Creed puts out, way more cutscenes, way more environments, the general scope of GTA titles is enormous lol. And yeah, this is Rockstar :P they've NEVER been about graphics. I think it looks great for what it is.
