"So angry for no reason...
The Wii is no more likely to sell a niche title than the Xbox360 or PS3"
How is calling on your logic anger? That seems to be just trying to dismiss a comment you can't counter, especially since I did not claim the Wii sold niche titles better. You claimed that niche titles selling niche numbers on the Wii was somehow just a problem with that system.

"Angry" because of the way in which you responded, essentially dismissing my post outright.
Anyway...
You said that "niche titles are more likely to sell on the Wii to make a profit," and I did counter that with a fairly detailed explanation. That statement is pretty vague and had nothing supporting it. Therefore, I the only thing I can imagine you referring to is that the Wii has higher sales and, generally, lower production costs. Neither of these really make the idea that niche titles will sell better on the Wii (or sell profitably) true.
I didn't claim that niche titles selling niche numbers on the Wii was a problem. You must have imagined that when you didn't read my response. I don't expect niche titles to sell better than niche numbers. Take Sin & Punishment--I didn't expect this thing to sell a lot. I pointed out how there's no guarantee that niche titles will sell better on the Wii, and (I'm sorry I didn't elaborate more on this before) therefore, there's no guarantee they're more profitable. Having lower production costs on the Wii doesn't really matter when the sales tend to be lower than they would be on the HD consoles. Again, Onechanbara. I'm sure differences between development costs between the Xbox360 and Wii versions were minimal at best, and it sold better on the Xbox360, and for a higher price (as I recall). Niche titles have a better chance of being more profitable, and having higher sales, on the systems where 3rd party games in general tend to sell better.
The things that, unfortunately even after almost four years, still sell the best on the Wii (or DS) are Nintendo titles and "casual" fare. Niche titles tend to fall into hardcore categories because, let's face it, targeting them towards the people who read about this stuff all the time is the only way some of these things garner any sales at all. And hardcore titles sell better on the HD systems. Again, look at Haze versus The Conduit. Haze garnered much lower reviews than Conduit, but Haze still sold better than The Conduit. Hardcore and niche titles--better to hedge those bets on the Xbox360 or PS3. Nintendo, family, and casual games--those bets are better hedged on the Wii or DS. This is the way the industry is viewed, and this is the way games, generally, sell.
Granted, there are always the exceptions--like Manhunt 2 sold comparably well on the Wii as it did on the PS2. Figure that one out.
