I don't agree with any irrational fears of any group. I don't consider Catholics pedophiles or Christians gay hatin' abortian clinic destroyers. That's just insane and stupid.

What I do is not tolerate ignorance. So many people have created this labelling of Islam that is so far from what is taught in the Quran its just sickening, and I'm not just referring to the crazies in right-wing media. I'm also referring to the crazies in control of nearly every country in the Middle East. If I could I would force the elimination of all Hadith literature being used as a ruleset to begin with as it is 100% against Quranic laws.

But Islam does kill, the Koran instructs muslims to kill:

"Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush." (Sura  9:5)

Sura 2:187-189 “And kill them wherever ye shall find them, and eject them from whatever place they have ejected you; for civil discord is worse than carnage: yet attack them not at the sacred Mosque, unless they attack you therein; but if they attack you, slay them. Such the reward of the infidels."

But they shouldn't kill one of their own who has killed a "kafir":

“No Muslim should be killed for killing a Kafir (infidel).”(Hadith vol. 9:50)


However if a muslim stops being a muslim then they're fair game:

“Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.”  (Hadith 9:45; 84.2.57.)


And the Bible instructs Christians to stone disobedient children. Moderates of both religions know what rules not to follow.


Actually after Jesus the mosaic law was not used any more which is what you are refering to. Now it is all about following the 10 commandments.  So the kill children is taken out of context and not applicible in our day for christians.

Reread your 'new testament', there are not so nice things said in there about nonChristians. Why do you think the Crusades, Inquisition, as well as numerous other Roman Catholic attacks on other Crhistian faiths as well as nonChristians were allowed in the name of Jesus? (btw, I'm not refering to killing of children)

He preached and led by example not to fight be peaceable  not to get involved in politics 

Christians were to be no part of the world 

It has nothing to do with the catholic church which blended pagan and Christian beliefs

One of the main reasons the media and many pundits have talked so much about supposed racism in the United States for the past 3 years is they’re attempting to silence opposition to their political agenda. Historically, this kind of manoeuvre has been very effective, but today (when almost every argument online devolves into someone accusing someone else of being a fascist or racist) it doesn’t have the punch it once did.

What's hypocritical? right-wing media like fox has continuously ran incorrect stories about Islam with quotes exactly like that which are found in this thread. Right-wing media is want kicked off this controversy with the Mosque with half-truths and idiocy. Sure, the rest picked it up and ran with it as well, but that doesn't take away from the most vocal and biased sources there are.

I wouldn't do either one of those two actions as the pissing on a cross is simply offensive and promoting a pic of Muhammad in any way is offensive to some (not me as I don't think God or Muhammad cares as I'm not worshiping the pic).

Furthermore, there have been pics of Muhammad that did not cause an uproar because they were not degrading. Such as the first time South Park did its super friends show as well as one other one. Of course post Sweden ish, that was censored by comedy central, but that is silly as it wasn't even offensive.

There are even paintings of Muhammad made by Muslims that date back hundreds of years, again not offensive as its not degrading or used for worship.

Where do you tink the Catholic church of old got its direction and intial hate mongering? btw, I'm not referring to what Jesus actually taught, I'm referring to what various letters and books in the Bible state. Such as things like Women should wear head scarfs, yet is condemned now by westerners as archaic. Point is, the Quran/Islam and Bible/Christianity don't teach hate; however, that hasn't stopped its followers from cherry picking out of context passages to do so.

"Chunk" Parker and Stone received veiled death threats for just a picture of Mohammed. Not a picture of him in the toilet.  Just a facsimile  Threats from within the USA

I  understand  bending over backwards to show solidarity for the Muslims in the USA

I don't understand the hate and insults hurled at people who question where this Mosque is located.

A whole zipcode was destroyed or damaged.  I live in Rochester,Ny and I along with 20 others in building 135 at Harris Interactive  watched in horror as the second plane crashed into the tower. Everyones breath caught all at once then a few girls cried. We looked at each other  like WTF just happened

Then then when the buildings started to collapse they were crying and going no no

Am i being dramatic Yea thats how it was it put every one in a state of shock

If you can't understand why people think it is insensitive or if you think it is some phobia FU

I don't understand why you don't bend a little backwards for people who understandably don't want it there. They get insults instead
