Because if it was 13 mill then I doubt Black Ops will get to 10 mill. If it was over 14 mill for MW2 then 10 mill is possible.

I think it's going to be close. There are enough casual players who will pick it up just because it's the next CoD. But I think the issues with Infinity Ward, while not related to this game, will keep some of the "hardcore" market away. Coupling this with the reputation, deservedly or not, that Treyarch has for their games, will make it a tougher sell to 10 million before end of the year. I do think it will get there eventually, though...

Well if MW2 did 15m in 2009 then it probably will, but MW2 will definitely be the peak in the COD series. Black Ops will not sell as much as MW2 and MW3 won't sell as much as MW2 either.

Sadly the name alone is worth 10m before year out. I forgot what MW2 did before the end of 09 but I think it crossed the 10m mark. I say it hits 10 m before the year is out.
