Do you guys remember playing "Hey You, Pikachu!" on the N64 with the yellow microphone thingy that you occasionally put in your mouth? Also, Pikachu would never listen to you half the time because you would start saying random things just to confuse it? Yeah, good times...

Well I was thinking that it would be a good idea to try this idea again on the Wii. With the technology we have now I think it would make a great sequel. We could use WiiSpeak or the Headbanger Headset to talk with Pikachu and having the IR pointer would make it so much easier.

Considering my 8-year-old son likes to play the N64 version ... a first-day buy for me if it were to be done.

They should bring back WiiPray and have an online mode where you can pray with your friends wherever they may be!!

That seems like a good idea actually, even though I don't know if the kids that would play that today are that fond of Pikachu because they probably didn't see the first season or played the first games. With enough additions it could become a fun game. I remember playing the original but it would never understand me so I just started yelling at it. Ah, good times. A sequel to Pokemon Snap would be [IMO] more entertaining though.

One of the worst most ridiculously expensive games I can unfortunately remember. That total crap cash in haunts me to this day.

Well, if anything could murder EyePet or Kinectimals sales that would be it, I guess. Especially if it works like that other Wii game where you insert your wiimote into a stuffed animal and play around with it. Since the Wiimote has a speaker Pikachu could talk back!

Wasn't Pokemon Channel a pseudo-sequel to Hey You Pikachu!  I'm ashamed to say I bought it, only for the bonus Jirachi you got for completing the game though.  If you kept changing the GC (or Wii's) internal clock, you could complete the game in about 3 hours, unfortunately however you could only get one Jirachi per Ruby/Sapphire save (and you had to have beaten the Elite 4 as well) which was very time consuming to harvest multiple Jirachis.

Was HY Pikachu ever over here in Europe?  I remember hearing something like Nintendo couldn't be bothered to make it work with the crap load of different accents we have here in the UK
