I think 3rd parties know exactly what their doing.

The Wii does a great job selling shovelware and party games. Why take core sales from the HD consoles?

Its not so complicated, nintendo has poor relations with third party devs and thus they don't work together very often. Playstation and xbox are much more 3rd party dev friendly. As for the psp, its undoubtedly cheaper than wii developing, plus sony has a much better relationship with 3rd parties and is better at getting software for its machines than nintendo is.

Developers are gamers, most gamers hate the wii , hence, the lack of wii games!

That sounds reasonable, if we ignore the DS. But this is my thread, so we don't. Think harder.


Its just business. Ever since they entered the gaming industry sony has been much better at getting third parties on their machines. That applies to psp and ds as well. DS may sell better, but they would rather work with sony because they make better partners.

Third parties are mostly companies who are set up by gamers ..Gamers who prefer to play on the X360/PS3 and enjoy making games they would like to play... So strange that they choose to make games on a console they love?


It is not always about the money..Try to motivate people in making a low budget game that they would not like to play themselve...(That is why all this shovelware probably comes from)...

This supports another one of my theories: Third parties are fanboys first, businesses second.


This is not a theory, I have seen many videos for exclusive developers: david jeff, cliffy b and many others! the way they talk and bubble tells you that they are as fanboyish as ones can be.

Nothing in the opening post so much as implies that the "morons" or "deliberate" options are mutually exclusive.
