I'm sure Sony can always revise agreements, nothing is ever set in stone with them. They could have decided after seeing Rockstar's planned games like RDR, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3 that they would chose GTA5 exclusivity over one new franchise.


they actually never said that their would be a new ip,the original deal was for 3 exclusive games,whatever they maybe.good,bad,old,new but they have to be exclusive

yeah sure they could change agreements but if they wanted GTA5,they would have made that decision from the starting

They could have changed their minds after seeing how well it did on the 360, they may have decided that they wanted more sales and decided to get a contract this time.


sure but what if SONY drops PS3 to $199 and they get the same sales on PS3 plus development cost for only one console

and that SONY could have locked it first only and now its sony's decision

just ake FF13,if they would have announced it from the start then it won't be that high

but after nobody expected it and it came to 360,it was armageddon

Remember the rage recently with ME2? If they said "In a year it'll go on the PS3" at the beggining less people would be inclined to buy one version of it.  They could easily announce GTA5's exclusivity and a pice cut for massive sales.

na, doubt it, you know how rockstar have been lately they spend ages making their games, look at RDR 4-5 years in development
