I'm sure Sony can always revise agreements, nothing is ever set in stone with them. They could have decided after seeing Rockstar's planned games like RDR, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3 that they would chose GTA5 exclusivity over one new franchise.


they actually never said that their would be a new ip,the original deal was for 3 exclusive games,whatever they maybe.good,bad,old,new but they have to be exclusive

yeah sure they could change agreements but if they wanted GTA5,they would have made that decision from the starting

They could have changed their minds after seeing how well it did on the 360, they may have decided that they wanted more sales and decided to get a contract this time.


sure but what if SONY drops PS3 to $199 and they get the same sales on PS3 plus development cost for only one console

and that SONY could have locked it first only and now its sony's decision
