Ogre Battle 64 never got the recognition (nor the sales) it truly deserves

Out Of This World and Rayman 2 immediately come to mind.

I am sure Rayman 2 is not an underrated that game sold well and got good reviews, the PS2 version got a 90 on metacritic.

Isn't it the same thing as the SNES version?

Ogre Battle: MotBQ on the SNES is episode 5 of the Ogre series and OB64 is episode 6.  I've got a feeling that Tactics Ogre is episode 7.

I have no idea what happened to episodes 1 - 4 though

No. Not even close. OB64 is much, much, much better in almost every way.

NIER

For all the whining JRPG fans do, when a JRPG came out that had towns, minigames, open worlds, multiple endings, a different story, no emo main character and so on it was ignored because it had "bad graphics" or maybe like me people just didn't know NIER had so many things.

It really reminded me of old skool JRPG's with a KH type battle system. And the music was so awesome.

Definitely my surprise of the generation.

Red Faction Guerilla

Personally I think it deserved better that what it got.

This generation, I would say Demon's Souls is one of the more underappreciated games.  I mean, it received some amazing reviews, and it even won some awards (including GotY on Gamespot), yet sales-wise, according to VGChartz, it still hasn't sold that much.

The fact that there are so many PS3 owners who haven't played Demon's Souls yet is definitely disappointing.  You guys are missing out!
