What does the Japan preview have to do with what you're saying? 1. Japan is not in "Others" 2. The Japan preview is just that, a preview, not the official VGC Japan numbers, and as a preview it is actually very, very good.

I'm still shocked that PS3 beats the Wii in Japan, considering Wii seems to have a lot more types of games that appeal to the Japanese crowd these days. I guess it's just reached its saturation point.

It just seems like most of PS3's games appeal more to a western audience, moreso than Nintendo's.

Recently, there really hasn't been lot of steady releases in Japan as a whole, PS3 or Wii (at least for consoles). Japan is all handhelds these days.

Take a look at software. Wii's still a strong second in that regard, ahead of PSP even.

Wii is cheaper this year than last year though

So is the PS3 :P but the PS3 is having a bit of a Euphoria of software these past 8 months... however it looks like it will stop right around the holidays
