I just want to know what the bonus content is, ME 2 is an amazing game and if there was enough incentive, I would buy the game again

ME3 is supposedly going to be even MORE pointless without ME1. WHat about the Rachni Queen decision? What about the end decisions? There are so many choices you made in ME1 that kind of barely made it into ME2 that I suspect will come to fruition only in ME3. Furthermore maybe ME2 sales aren't that good because ME2 itself was a worse game than ME1.

but the decision seems to be a financial one to me.

They want ME3 on PS3, so they are AT LEAST giving it ME2 because apparently ME2 will affect ME3 more than ME1 affected ME2.

This has happened just to set up ME3 to be on PS3 day and date with PC/360


It is a very pisspoor financial decision then, because ME2 itself is a very very mediocre and meh game. If they are counting on people to have ME2 as their first taste of ME then more likely people are going to be disappointed and end up not buying ME3 anyhow. Not only was ME1 better than ME2, but it also made ME2 suck a lot less.  If ME1 doesn't make it over, then this is like pissing in the wind.

Please you are extremely misinformed (just like the QTE incident in the Deus Ex thread).

This is being done as a set up to ME2 and there are many PlayStation gamers who are waiting for this because the last good WRPG released on the PS3 was Oblivion and its been 3 years since then!

Actually I was not wrong, in fact my fear of QTEs was confirmed in the DE thread. You are in stealth and you use QTEs to kill things, so yeah, I was right in that thread too.

Possibly, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't sell well and doesn't ignite any interest in ME on the PS. Maybe they will try to include the DLC as well to try and make it like a better deal.

Edit: Also Oblivion was a very trashy game as well.

Well, it might be stab in the back for some microsoft fans. Personally I think more the merrier, but honestly speaking releasing 1 without the other is a questionable decission.

Um it is very important, plus you get crappy settings in ME2 Default.

Honestlly you are ps3 only user, I highly recommend not getting this, ME2 Default is disappointing.

Well. The overall story, might not be as important, but the setting and theme for everything is somewhat vital ie: Why are humans in the citedal. Stuff like that, it sets the undertone for 2.

Well it really pisses me off on how M.E. was just a amazing franchise 30 minutes ago. and now it's "Meh, that game sucked anyways."

Same shit with FF13 as well. Fanboys are just stupid.

IN YOUR FACE!  I said that I didn't see a way that Mass Effect 2 could NOT be multi-plat, and I was right.  You know where it is?  It's in your face.  IN YOUR FACE, THAT'S WHERE!!

PS3 owners, you're in for one hell of an awesome game.  And with that, ME3 is pretty much a multi-plat guarantee.

 

*edit* what in the hell is going on with the sudden influx of ME2 hate?  The game is awesome.  Now some people are saying that it's mediocre or that ME2 isn't worthy and that gamers should go from ME1 straight to ME3?  I loved the game on 360 and I prefer the 360 to the PS3 but I knew the game was going multi as soon as EA got involved.  Don't hate the game because more people will get to play it.  You guys are unreal.

You aren't serious, right? What about Fable III, Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach, and the fact that Mass Effect will still be a playable franchise on the Xbox? Why give up on the games?

Ill still have my 360, but it just seems like the ps3 has just got alot better now.

The ps3 has loads of great games now but the 360s just loosing games all the time and MS isnt gonna get its head out of its ass any time soon

And plus out of all the games u said i only want gears 3 but on ps3 theres like 10 exclusives coming next year i want
