Well if they dont have ME1 there is something they could do. Like when creating a character having a choice of being a paragon or renegade off that bat. I honestly think they may include an option like that.

You could see cut scenes for ME1 online if you REALLy want to get ME2. |
Yeah, I know, but that's not the same thing, don't you agree?

They'd have to include many many MANY more choices at start up for the experience to be "complete."

I totally agree, it is not the same thing
But ME2 is a good game, so its worth doing that to experience it.
Also Yakuza 3 had a section where they did a quick catch up story on Yakuza 1/2 for people who'd missed them
Bioware might do a quick recap of the ME1 story on ME2 (PS3).
But still its NOT the same thing.
And you can never be a FULL PARAGON then because many many decisions you make in ME1 carry on to ME2.
I'll likely get it. Hopefully it won't be a $60 game. If it's $40, I'll definitely get it. I would guess they will probably put in some info about ME1 so the experience won't be ruined.

I have no idea what Paragon is lol, don't really know anything about this game. But it seems to be a great game, maybe I'll try.
I just can't understand WHY.
Without the original, it's pointless if you ask me...

Glad more people can enjoy this great game. You can always play ME1 on PC, as most PS3 owners have a PC capable of doing so.
