Yeah i think it has to be another Elder Scrolls, the last one sold very well and it has been a while. With these types of Franchise, it would be a shock if its a new IP.

With regards to Fallout that someone else mentioned, I would be very surprised if they havent already begun design on a new Fallout game as well (these things take along time to make). With New Vegas being done by a third party, I would suspect they have already begun engine work/pre-production on a new Fallout. New Vegas is a way for them to keep the IP in peoples minds, and make some extra cash.

OK, so which province of Tamriel is it going to be in this time? One of the biggest complaints about Oblivion from Morrowind fans was that it wasn't weird enough (art wise) so my moneys on Black Marsh (or whatever the Argonian place is). Valenwood would also be cool.

It's Skyrim, the northern region. Bethesda incidentally trademarked the name Skyrim right after completing Oblivion.

Gotta be elder 5...gonna be epic.  Unfortuntely as a jrpg fan, western companies seem to be running circles around jrpg devs in terms of quality and quantity

Damn, I was really hoping for the Marshlands with some cool underwater cities with bizzare tree houses and hist sap and... and... so much potential. Plus they already did Skyrim style culture in one of the expansions to Morrowind.

Oh well, Nords it is then.

I really hope this is a lot more Morrowind, and a lot lot LOT less Oblivion.

Aren't there more people around here excited about this rumour?
