Yeah it should be alrite. I know I will most likely like it more than Gears 3... On the PC tho :)

I doubt ill play KZ3 since sony forcefully locked out both of my 3D displays without any technical reason.

So Crysis 2 is no longer the Halo Reach/Call of Duty killer that their writer was saying...

Now its Gears 3/Killzone 3 killer?

Yep that's how it looks like now

and btw we don't have a confirmed release date for either G3 or kz3 right?

KZ3 February

Gears 3 April

gears 3 has an april release date but it could easily be delayed to fall 2011

Microsoft must have something huge for christmas 2011 if they can afford to dump Gears 3 in April :)

Would they really delay it for 7 months? It will sell great whenever it is released

I still think that period is too crowded, I will probably be playing Shogun 2 Total War then.... Crysis 2 just hasn't entirely convinced me, certainly not enough to take it over its new competitors

um CRYSIS 2's new trailer on PSN in HD was jaw dropping

Why is it a bad reason? I'm not a PS3 owner... and for every Killzone that I can't play on the PS3 there is a Halo, Call of Duty, F3AR, Crysis 2, Homefront, Medal of Honor...etc...that I can play on PC or 360.

However a Killzone 3 game which is optimized in 3D is something cool and new that could persuade me to spend 300 bucks on a console considering that I have a 3D TV, 3D monitor and am intersted in 3D very much.

However Sony decided to play hardball and not support the 3D format of my 3D TV or 3D monitor with PS3. Panasonic bluray players support it...so there really is no reason why sony can't do the same with the PS3.

Its another perfect example of Sony not understanding the market they are diving in to head first. There are 6 million 3D TVs sold worldwide before 2010 which are not supported by PS3. All of these TV's can work with the PS3 technichnically...and infact do work if you purchase an adapter for some. (Mitsubishi made adapter)

As of July 2010, thare are 300,000 3D TVs sold which PS3 works with.

6,000,000 users PS3 is not compatible with vs 300,000 users which it works with...well played Sony!

I will bet you money that 360 version of Crysis 2 will be 3D compatible with my TV while PS3 version will require the manditory HDMI 1.4 handshake...and it will be the exact same game experience.

sure it will sell great whenever it releases as its a big frnachise

but MS could use a big impact game for Fall 2011 and the sales will even be higher

didn't know you didn't have a PS3

and PS3 crysis is supposed to be better then the 360 as crytek has said their are trying to get more out of it and even the PS3's 3D capabilities for highers res could help

i thought more than 300k 3DTV'S had been sold and many reported it more than that

anyways about SONY barring old 3DTV's,most of the gaming public doesn't 3dtv and and even who oen and minor and as most 3D PS3 consumers will buy a new 3DTV,there was no need to work more on bringing it to HDMI 1.3by sony perspective

First of all...PS3 doesn't have any 3d capabilities that 360 doesn't have. The only thing PS3 has is software which makes the TV think its an HDMI 1.4 device.

Develoeprs have to figure out how to make a game 3D on PS3 the same way they would on a 360. The only difference is that Sony is making a shitload of first party 3D games, while Microsoft isn't making any. 3rd party games like Crysis 2 can be ported to PS3 or 360 in the same manner regular ports are done.

So I really doubt crytek will get a lot more out of the Ps3...there may be slight consmetic differences...like that Mafia 2 game, but it should be similar.

Secondly, the sales are probably more now. But as of early June it was 300,000. Samsung leading the pack since they were out first... Could be double by now actually as sony and LG released their units after June.

And lastly, its just bad business to block existing userbase. the people with 3d gear were obviously hardcore users of the tech and will surely purchase the PS3 to test its 3D capabilities... I can make PS3 work with my TV, but I need this adapter. I shouldn't have to get a 300 dollar adapter...Sony should be fighting to get my $$$ away from other possible 3D solutions.
